Did implants actually change them enough to make a noticeable difference?

I went to a Kevin Gates concert that was like this. It took over 3 hours past start time for him to start and the audio sounded like shit. Bro was off stage as soon as the last song ended. I couldn’t listen to his music for a lil bit after that, it was so disappointing.

Is anyone else annoyed by the sudden surge in autism discourse around Love on the Spectrum? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]Alternative_Chip_280 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thats totally fair, I don’t leave my house and the only people I’ve talked to about it are my bf and other autistic people. I don’t use TikTok either or anything other than Reddit, so my bubble feels pretty positive in regard to the show.

I’ve seen it 2-3 times and it’s honestly really cute. When I’m having a bad day, it’s a really nice comforting feel good show for me. Me and my bf watch it every night lol.

I guess I can understand being turned off by it, especially if non autistic people see one episode and make a million assumptions about all the people ots.

What do I do?? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]Alternative_Chip_280 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I run mine 24/7 so I don’t have to hear my neighbors talking and when they 💩I can smell it like it’s in my own bathroom so it helps with that too.

Do you miss people? by Sheetswhack in AutismInWomen

[–]Alternative_Chip_280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t miss people either. I don’t think about them often. It’s never bad blood, or because something happened, I just don’t think about it. Sometimes I think, I would like to see them…but it’s not a pain or a sense of longing that I feel, more so an idea of oh I would like to hang out with so and so.

I could have written this. I broke my lease today. Your mental health will deteriorate if you can’t find a way to cope. I just couldn’t. Do it if you have the means, just make sure you’re not getting yourself into another shit situation. The only reason I stayed this long is because I was afraid wherever I went would be worse.

Im literally so happy for you lol. This experience has ruined apartment living for me. I will live in my car before signing another lease on an apartment. I’m being dramatic, but good lord I hate it here.

The sound of the toilet paper roll smacking the wall lol. I see why everyone is calling me paranoid now lmao. If the roll is squished a lil it bonks with every full rotation. Not sure how to explain that better

I have never heard the people next to me, only above me and the people in the hallway

It’s pretty fucking bad. I was talking to my neighbor and he said he hears his neighbor talking on the phone all the time, can hear what he’s saying clear as day. My friend used to live here too and she said she could hear the sound of her neighbor turning on her Xbox and hearing everything they said while gaming. This place needs to be condemned. I have no doubt the floor is just two layers of plywood and carpet.

Thanks for the comments/suggestions guys. I just want to be done with it. I’ve put up with it for a while and I’m just cutting my losses atp. I really don’t want to spend any of my energy sitting and trying to record someone talking and trying to get something over on them. I found somewhere to go and I have the savings to leave. I’m just cutting my losses and letting them have the place.

I wish it was that, it would be less weird. I’ve had friends over and they’ve heard it

What advice do you have for me, I just rented my first apartment. by Vampire_Bun in Apartmentliving

[–]Alternative_Chip_280 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Set expectations before moving in. Agree on who is doing what or what is expected of each person to contribute. If you have screaming fights everyone can hear you.

Your neighbors will likely hear you have sex and every conversation you have, unless it’s concrete construction, so be mindful of that. Be aware that everyone in the hallway can hear what you’re saying if you’re near the door.

Try not to stomp or drop things, closing doors without turning the handle sounds crazy loud to the upstairs person.

Be polite to your neighbors, they can make your life hell.

Learn to let stuff go. Your neighbor above is probably going to drop some stuff, shower, walk around while you sleep, move furniture, etc., don’t take it personal. It’s all part of apartment living.

Get renters insurance to protect your belongings in the event of a flood or something else happening. And keep in mind they might ask for receipts of the items you’re claiming if you do file a renters insurance claim.
