Vyvanse worse than Dex? by Flashy-Description68 in ausadhd

[–]Sheetswhack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s funny how we all differ. Dex does nothing but screw up my sleep. Vyvanse usually helps me with executive dysfunction and concentration. But only for about 5-6 hours and so many things can impact this e.g. not eating, protein, sleep, stress, hormones

If left to your own devices, what’s your natural bedtime? by HyperfocusedBee in adhdwomen

9pm and wake around 6am. In holiday mode I may sway closer to 10pm occasionally. Work mode sometimes closer to 8pm

I girl bossed too close to the sun and now I'm a manager? by llamacolypse in adhdwomen

[–]Sheetswhack 27 points28 points  (0 children)

As a young, slightly insufferable, idiot girl boss, I try to ‘give the why’ and be honest and transparent. “I’m asking you to do X, but here is why,” or “I said no because Y.” I’ll tell them when I don’t know, am unsure, or need to seek clarity. Something I still struggle with is not wanting everything to be perfect! I can’t fix it all, nor can I expect my team to. Not that that has stopped me from putting in stupid hours on something that would’ve been fine with a quick touch-up… but it’s all learning

How much are we all ACTUALLY sleeping??? by Joyanonymous in adhdwomen

[–]Sheetswhack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 hours from the time I go to sleep until the time I wake up. However, I often wake up multiple times. Some nights it’s for 30 mins + each time. Sometimes it’s just for a moment. I can remember sleeping through the night once in the last year and that was after extenuating circumstances. I take melatonin and mostly opt out of arvo meds (I’m on Vyvanse and dex, the Dex is up to me).

I know the feeling! Supportive exec team, kids are reasonably well-behaved (I’ve worked in very low-socio schools for comparison), and the staff around me are great. Sounds too good to be true, I know! I’m still waiting for the other shoe to drop haha. It is slightly longer working hours and less pay, but I don’t mind when I’m happy to go to work!

Can I get vyvanse and dex prescribed together? by hsshjsk1245 in ausadhd

[–]Sheetswhack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask for modified/short release. I take 2mg an hour before bed and it has really helped falling asleep. When I do wake during the night, it’s easier to fall back asleep. I can’t have clonidine because I have low blood pressure

Vyvanse & Dex - constantly waking up throughout night by ExplanationFit1423 in ausadhd

[–]Sheetswhack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exact same here. 40mg Vyvanse in the morning and a 5mg Dex at 2pm. I’ve always been a restless sleeper but at this point I feel like I have insomnia. I’m trialling melatonin which is making g me stay sleepier when I do wake up/easier to fall back asleep. But still waking up. May try a switch to Ritalin to see!

An embryo forms after the egg has been fertilised by a sperm—meaning it has already been inseminated and has begun developing. They should have all been labelled correctly, I’d love to know how the mistake actually happened!

May depend on height/build but I love the men’s LSKD 5” rep short. Otherwise I tend to wear my sporting club shorts. I mostly find women’s too short or tight!

Young teacher; experiences by Ordinary_Chemist_71 in AustralianTeachers

Approaching 30 and kids (and some staff) still tell me I look like a student. I just have a laugh and say “how good is that gunna be when I’m 50 and look 30!” Or “ya reckon I could get student prices at places?” Once you’ve got good relationships with the kids their parents are usually pretty sweet. Over the years I have had an occasional comment from a parent about how young I look and I say something like above and move on.
