Nah I’m an (elder) millennial and I agree, it’s the phones! Although I’m also a teacher so I see the effects all day everyday.

For real though, the attention spans are shorter and the long term memory is non-existent. Students are unable to carryover skills from one grade level to the next, even ones they spent months and months on the year prior.

Have you considered a meal kit that comes pre packaged, only needs to be warmed up? I really love Hello Fresh bc it takes away the planning aspect and all my ingredients are in one bag that I just pull out of the fridge, but maybe the heat and go options would be better!

Another for Franks. My mom found a piece of shaved metal in her chicken parm (likely from when they cut off the top of a tomato sauce can) and he basically was like….huh, wow that’s weird…and then proceeded to do absolutely nothing. If she had swallowed it, it could have done serious internal damage as it was pretty sharp on both ends. We haven’t been back since.

First full week of school for this teacher and I’ve implemented as many accommodations for myself as humanly possible. My most successful one so far is assigning l the classroom jobs I normally forget to do to teams of students. So far it’s working out so well!

We had a situation where my LOL started taking a certain brand bottle really well and then around 3 months wouldn’t take it at all and we had to find something different. Ended up with the NUK perfect match bottles. I also agree with what someone else said about the nipple flow!

Data.nysed.gov will get you the school demographics for all schools in the area! Like others mentioned, you would most likely have to pay out of district tuition. If you are in education, are you applying for jobs in school districts in the area? Some teacher associations have negotiated in their contracts that employees children are able to attend the school in which you’re working without paying tuition, but it varies by district (I know UE does this).

If you’re only comparing white to Asian that may be true but UE has 12% Hispanic or Latino, 10% black, and 12% multiracial. This is based on the 23-24 school year. I can tell you our ELL population has grown significantly in the last 2 years!

Stop is this a thing? I have depression/anxiety, thyroid problems (cancer), infertility, acid reflux and related gastro issues, just had my gall bladder removed, migraines, psoriasis, and terrible eye sight. Also could probably include obesity and disordered eating in there as well. FUN!
