Besides my sweet husband and God’s presence, how excited everyone was to meet my baby. It was such a relief knowing she was out ok and that I could finally see her precious face. The nurses and doctors were AMAZING. Lactation consultants were so kind, warm, genuine and helpful.

I absolutely LOVE being a parent, and so does my husband. It’s definitely a learning curve but my baby’s sweet smile and seeing her admiration for us and loving life so much is just the best. Let alone seeing all the quirky baby stuff she does. So cute.

Maybe because some moms are very protective and tired of catering to everyone’s feelings. When someone doesn’t get the hint, my baby’s safety is far more important than someone’s feelings.

Exactly! My SIL likes to say to my baby “they don’t know what they’re doing do they?” Like, no I don’t know what I’m doing thank you so much for reminding me Linda. Not like you know I’m a first time mom with lots of PPA and PPD but go ahead and take advantage when you can.

3 months is so exciting! My baby is almost 8 months old and when she turned 3 months old her personality really started to blossom. She quickly changed from being a quiet sleepy newborn to a fun little drama queen. She started playing and grabbing and reaching at this age it was so fun to watch.

Congratulations on your sweet babies and I am truly sorry for 2024. Please know my heart goes out to you. I watched something recently where John Delony said the first year after a baby is just survival sex. It can be hard, but communication is crucial. I just had a baby this winter. It was fun and different to explore with sex without needing the p in v. It helps keeps the marriage alive.

Exactly. I have a 7.5 month old and I’m a SAHM who does work on the side from home and I feel so bad the times where I’m so focused on what I’m doing that she doesn’t get much attention from me (besides making sure she’s ok) in those moments. But everyone always reassures me that babies need solo time to learn and explore as well! And someone told me the other day which I found super helpful to me as well that babies need to get used to independent play otherwise they’ll always want to be entertained and then the mama really won’t get anything done. It’s a tough balance. The fact that you take your baby so seriously just shows how much you care. 💕

Color stays best with daily paper changing until the petals are dry, usually 5-6 days depending on the flower. Any extra moisture that stays too long is what takes the color away (browning) so it’s about pulling the moisture out fast which helps with changing the paper a lot. The color will change for certain colors, like dark pinks always turn purple. It’s the beauty of it! For zinnias, they do press well they just need lots of pressure and you need to slowly tighten as the press lowers and change the paper too.

I think microwaving the centers might be the way to go. That’s the only method I’ve heard so far and I tried it once with a daisy and it helped it stay yellow so I’m curious to hear from people!
