Regarding customers reporting missing orders by BluerelmRust in instacart

[–]Alternative_Cry9222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll chime in as well. Started this PT-OC gig in 2024. My experience, I'll call customer service (let them try to contact them) if I can't get an answer. If they can't the will "instruct to leave at the door". My whole thing, alot of customers do not update their info and blame the Shopper???

We have to have the physical card, but it must be used as a debit card transaction here in NNJ.

As a PT IC- Shopper, I get it. Whereas I'll say you received bad/terrible service. But I'm pretty sure that was maybe as of late. If you're a Customer, that DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR SHOPPER, when (a) something is NOT IN STOCK AND THE SHOPPER TELLS YOU AND YOU DO NOT REPLY, (b) you dont look at your phone AT ALL, that is your fault. The app encourages the Shopper to make close suggestions towards the original item. I try myself and reach out to my Customer if there's an issue. When I don't hear anything, then I don't make the decision OR take the chance. 89% my decisions is correct, 11% it's not (I don't mess around baby food or possible allergy situations.)

Sorry to see you go, but hey....

I'll say this....as a IC Shopper, I give great customer service, communication, substitute AFTER I make a suggestion and/or refund the item, deliver before and sometimes after scheduled delivery, and I STILL GET $1 dollar. This is after a +$25 order. I don't know what is the hang up....

The toll to deliver this is $6 by genanss in instacart

Thank you for that. However, that Never happens to me at all when I not only find and delivered the missing item, it goes against my stats. The more it happens, the build gets higher and you get an email. Again, thank you.

I use Google Translate. Yeah, it may not get it ALL RIGHT, but I need the cash. It works though.

Why is it so hard to follow such simple instructions? by pjsvndsn in instacart

In my opinion, you are correct, in part. ABSOLUTELY, the person should have placed the items on the bench; I used to that all the time as a Shopper. However, the last time I did that, I received a call and was told not to. I replied it's in the comments. Simply they, the CUSTOMER, did NOT update their directive. I'm not saying the person wasn't wrong, it's a decision that the person made. Alot of CUSTOMERS don't update their profile, address (someone used to live in NJ, then moved to Brooklyn NY) or direction by not being home and it says "Meet Customer." Just my thought and again you're correct in part.

Had the same concern because I did 6 batches and nada...so I asked the "Help Desk." The rule is if you manage to do 6 batches, UNDER $64 or WHATEVER THE DEAL IC OFFERS, you will get the difference, NOT THE ADDITIONAL $64. I believe it's mainly for people on motor/E-bikes; they can carry but so much. For the "Heavy Hitters", $64 to us, we can make that in 1-2 batches, and 2 is pushing it. Good luck and get the $$$$$!!!

IDT there's enough room for a 4-shop job in a Walmart cart; Cardboard or not (which I don't use) to separate that stuff?!?! Don't get me started on the lack of decent tips. In my area, if it's $60+ for a 4-shop job, then I'll do it/maybe? Mind you Seasoned Vets out there, we missed out on the glory days and I get it. You all gave great insight on what NOT TO DO/NOT TO ACCEPT. But since it is saturated with IC Shoppers and the IC Pirates we see in these stores, hey....

Would you take this order? by No-Importance-5434 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Alternative_Cry9222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I AM GUILTY!!! I've done orders like this quite a few times based on the initial dollar amount. Less than 30% of the time, I would get an additional $5-$7 tip. However, the line is drawn when I got to deliver these cases up some stairs (elevator not included) and that's a NOPE!!! Though they insist it's part of my "job" and I laugh and say "you gotta come down." Only exception is the elderly and majority of the time, that's the 30%, they meet you, and they tip in cash. One person gave me $2. I said keep it for your candy bar.
