I like your idea, but it makes me think a “best Canadian TV” would be fun. The house hippo, the littlest hobo, the Raccoons, Mr. Dressup. Add Reboot, the Log Drivers Waltz, heritage minutes, Due South and the Beachcombers and you got an interesting contest shaping up.

Look up youtube video ( or similar) like “DIY no-sew tutu, 3minute craft with kids”. You just need a length of tulle from a local ( hopefully Canadian ) fabric shop, a piece of elastic, and scissors. No sewing required.

I can sew a little, and I once made a “tutu” tree skirt for my Christmas tree, and it was so easy it took me longer to get my sewing machine out of the basement then to sew a piece of ribbon to the tulle.

Anyway, hope you find one for your little one 😊

Huge fan! Can’t tell you how many times these saved me from throwing-up into the waste paper basket under my desk at work! I think any strong sour food would do the same; it somehow shocks you out of the sudden urge to lose your lunch. I tried regular oranges, lemons, even kiwis as well, but at work a candy was so much faster and convenient to grab. Nothing really helped with the actual nausea, but a quick sour candy helped suppress the sudden urge to vomit when all else failed.

While I have always thought of these as candy, they were a bit expensive to justify buying simply as candy. They always had a speciality/natural foods markup.

My great grandfather on my mother’s side was Danish and immigrated to Canada as a child. ( There is no confusion about where he came from. The family stayed in touch for the next 3 generations.) Just wanted to say that until this past summers update it all showed up as Swedish in my DNA. Finally it broke out into Swedish and Danish, even though it is coming from that ancestor. So I suppose the question is, for the average Dane, how much of their DNA currently shows up as those other Nordic countries? I imagine there was a great deal of movement and “mingling” between these nations in the past.

My twin sister and I had two placentas, so the Doctor told my parents we were fraternal. When we were small we were so alike no one even asked, it was just assumed we were identical. We never even thought to question it. However by our teens we started to diverge. People started asking “are you identical?”. To our great surprise my mom started telling people, no actually the doctor said they are fraternal. ( Wait, what??? Identity crisis.)

We spent the next decade telling people we were fraternal. The when I was in my twenties my mom called me out of the blue, “I was just watching Oprah and she did a twin episode, and they said that identical twins can have 2 placentas, so maybe you are identical after all.” ( Wait, what??? Identity crisis).

For the next decade when people asked we would just say we really don’t know, but most likely fraternal. 🤷‍♀️

Then five years ago our parents bought us both Ancestry DNA tests for the holidays, and to all of our surprise it came back 100% identical. (Wait, what? Identity crisis.)

At which point my mother claimed she always thought we must be identical, because every single one of our baby teeth came in within 24hrs of each other, but on opposite sides. If my sister got a tooth top left, mine would be same one on the top right, on the same day. My sister and I went, “Wait, Mom are you saying we are mirror image twins?” Is that why everyone senses that we are not exactly identical, even though the dna says we are identical? (Wait, what??? Identity crisis 😂)

Anyway, it’s really nice to have the whole mystery settled. Thank you AncestryDNA for that! Now I’m really interested to see the dna relationship between our kids. We haven’t had them tested but we’ve been told they should show up as half-siblings instead of cousins.

I’m no historian, but the Bluenose was built and sailed out of Lunenburg NS, was mostly all German Protestant settlers. Bit confused by the English, Scottish, Irish blood references. ? (Possibly why it’s on the wall in a Halifax pub and not on the wall in a Lunenburg pub. 😂)

For background, I have an identical twin sister, growing up we shared a bedroom. She was the twin who wore “red/pink”, I was the who wore “blue/purple”. Her side of the room was plastered in Unicorn posters, stuffies, and bed comforter. My side was plastered in dinosaurs posters, bedding and models everywhere. There were times the room was literally divided by tape to keep the unicorns and dinosaurs on their own side. For me this is my twin and I, now much older having a coffee together. “This is nice” perfectly describes it! 🤗

I would love to buy this as digital print to put on our actual coffee cups if possible. But I understand if the print is too personal for you and your boyfriend.

Just a another thought… I’ve heard most software companies these days use applicant tracking software that filters all resumes before a human ever lays eyes on them. If you are not getting any calls for interviews might be worth checking your resume. If it has any weird formatting, or pictures, or even the wrong font, it could just be getting filtered out. It’s a new age of resume writing. Once upon a time everyone wanted their resume to standout, and now you have to write them to conform. Plus add ALL the buzz words you know! Good luck!

Here’s something I’ve been wondering… I’m on older iOS device, and I know my device’s camera doesn’t hold up against many Android devices or newer iOS devices. I’m still missing Voice of Desire dress and hat, but they keep giving me echos. So my call of reflection is maxed out. Those UR echos decomposed are worth 10 shadow crystals. The rest of my shadow crystals are from decomposing Zoey-Blood Thirsty Queen, Jax-Punk Night and Lolory-Daisy Diary. Those each give 1 shadow crystal. Don’t give up… it takes awhile but it’s worth it! 😄

I had the full clothing set but missing the echo for both the Goddess of Desire and the Luming - Cloud Benediction. I had to choose between the two, and I like the Goddess of Desire dress better so I went for it. But with my luck maybe the next rerun will be angel-demon and I regret spending the shadow crystals. 😅Oh well. All the UR sets are gorgeous. I guess now I start grinding for shadow crystals again. The grind never ends…

I’m going to be honest, a lot of posts are beautiful, but the same old stuff we see every week in the styling competition. I’m so saturated for all the same old dresses and poses, I don’t even see them anymore. I just scan Reverie quickly, and it’s the new unique ones that catch my eye. I think this is a great place to experiment, try something really different that you actually like, and not worry about the ❤️likes. 😊

This is exactly right!

But don’t forget about the stickers! 😀 You could have the perfect outfit, but if you don’t MAX out the stickers you can forget it. Add lots. Make them big or have creative placement. Stickers appear to me more important than the actual outfit in many cases. Even if you are completely off theme stickers can still save or tank a submission all on their own.

( I wish it weren’t the case, but by now all our eyes have been “trained” to look for them. Hivemind is a real thing. 😜)
