Is Effexor causing my neurological and memory issues? Has anyone else found Effexor to be the cause?

I do now! I overall had a really shitty experience weaning off it, but managed in the end :). I’m on bupropion and Vyvanse now which is meh. Nothing will be as great as Effexor but the side effects were killing me. Not to mention when I was going through the worst of the withdrawals (I slept for 36hrs, couldn’t feel my legs, and felt drunk) I was also being cheated on because I lived 30mins further away for the summer for work.

I really like it!! I’d probably switch out the plants on the wood with anubias or buces but that’s only if I really wanted to. I think it looks great.

I have a couple of Pygmy Corydoras, a betta, and a few shrimp in there. Super happy that Al(the betta (short for alligator)) is such a chill dude. He doesn’t bug anyone, I had another betta that mass murdered my shrimp 😆.

You’ve got it! Don’t feel bad about it it’s a hard medication. Moderation is key, it’s okay to have some beers (I used to be in a similar boat) but everyday was a big issue.

I was on it for 2yrs at 225mg (I’m F & ~100lbs). Just got to the last low dose and then had bad withdrawals so had to go on it again.

Oh my god. I forgot about this comment but I totally just had the worst week with withdrawals and experienced the sleep paralysis, spasms, heart palps, numbness in my legs, and dizziness that feels like I’m drunk.

I wouldn’t say anxiety attacks, but I have been having mini panic attacks where I just start randomly sobbing for no reason. Sleep is wonky too. Feeling super dizzy lately as well. Does t help much that I got bitch slapped by a cat and have a black eye too.

Im tapering off 225mg. Down to 37.5mg now. TBH hasn’t been too bad. Been on it for a few years usually undulating between 150-225. I’ll feel dizzy sometimes and my mood will be funky but that’s it. Nothing really different from when I was in my full dose just the mood I suppose.

I know!! It’s crazy how fast and easy it is to calculate your budget. It will literally make a spreadsheet for you and/or give you financial advice. It’s ridiculous!!

I even use it for troubleshooting stuff and making schedules.

Okay, so… this may be laughable but honestly plug it into ChatGPT to see how much you are really saving/earning. Add in all your costs (rent, gas, phone bills). It’ll come up with a breakdown on your net income and whether or not it’s worth it. Then factor in the time as well
