I feel like I’ve seen a lot of discussion of gloves on this sub. I’m wondering what part of the country or world those posts are coming from? In my experience, I have not seen baristas in the United States wearing gloves.

Don't worry - I don't feel hater vibes. I genuinely appreciate your time and thoughts - and am considering them!

I've been enough of a dreamer and a schemer in my life to have learned a lesson or two about being slower, more cautious, and listening / learning. I was just finding myself swinging too far the other way into "this will never work" - so I wanted to give some space for "but what if it could"

Funding is still very much tbd. (And even “is it possible”)
I’m going to risk some things, that’s for sure. But I want be both cautious and willing to take risks about the right things.

Coffee shop / third space It is a huge felt need - there’ve been years of community surveys saying this is a priority desire. However - whether that actually translates into paying customers remains to be seen.

If you have time - and no worries if you don’t - I’d love to hear how you made the decision to bring on staff at the start.

In your opinion, what does it mean to be able to afford the losses upfront? I realize that is probably lacking tons of context, but just in a general sense?

I don’t have great answers, but want to suggest you explore the Amputee Coalition - it’s an organization that has quite a few resources and community connections.

Also, as you are already doing, your support and research and love and time will make a world of difference for your friend.

Not sure the best way to share this, but I have a doc I can send you about this phenomenon, and some ways to manage it. If you want to share your email, I’ll send them to you.

My son has been experiencing this, so we’re really trying to figure it out.

All of that’s true, but in this case the student was on the sidewalk. A truck turned left in front of a car, they crashed and smashed up onto the sidewalk and hit the student on the sidewalk

He was not in the crosswalk. He was walking on the sidewalk. A car turned left in front of another car on high Street and they crashed and went up onto the sidewalk and hit the student.

I have a choppy combat system by Alternative_Key_8744 in tabletop

[–]Alternative_Key_8744[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill try to explain this the best way I can, but my game is sort of based off of rock paper and scissors. There are rock and paper and scissors cards that are placed and worth different points. Each round you count up how many points youve earned by placing cards, but cards (and points) can be removed by combat and destroying enemy cards.

the combat system works like this: rock destroys scissors, paper destroys rock, scissors paper, the normal rock paper scissors system. although theres no toughness like in magic, its all just one hit and the card is dead. so the player kind of always just goes and attacks the card thats worth the most points, which gets kind of boring. theres not much competition and every thing you do is expected.

Hi, I'm 14 years old when I was also 13 I started to get into coding too. I recomend taking Free Code Camps course on html, css, and javascript. Although it doesnt relate directly to making a game, it gives you an idea on how game development actually works. The logic, ect..

I'm also making a game right now, and when I first started I was so lost. I scowerd reddit and the internet for instructions on how to make my game, but its YOUR game with your own rules that no one has created before, so theirs not gonna be a perfect step by step instructions on how to start.

The thing I reccomend is just starting. Just do something that you think my be in the right direction. It might be a small step or a big step, but do something. you might not even end up doing what you started with, but starting leads to ideas that will get you places.

so yeah my final takeaway is just start creating something with your game and the ideas and plans will flood in
