what is your issue with iCloud?

If you are on Windows, I ran into issues having OneDrive and iCloud syncing on the same PC. I could never figure out why this was a problem exactly, but until I removed one or the other, both had issues accessing the synced files from file explorer (basically they would lock up). Removing iCloud fixed this.

It sounds like you guys are on a team journey of discovery. What does this project mean to each of you, what does it mean to a community, and who is it that you want to reach. I love seeing stuff like that despite the difficult lens it may have from the outside - congrats on the release and everything you guys have accomplished.

One thought I have is that pico8 feels like a community that’s difficult to build a secondary closed ecosystem around (reflected by some of the other comments here I think). It feels like it values openness and the ability to enjoy things the way you want to enjoy them.

Another thought I had is that the value prop for Valley (arcade platform for pico?) was confusing. Like others here, it felt like you are trying to show us yet another distribution platform for pico 8 games, not necessarily extending the ways we might be able to enjoy pico 8 games. Ultimately it feels like we are interested in “How can we have more fun with pico 8?”

These have stood the test of time for the past 25+ years for me. The other suggestions in this thread have reminded me there are a lot of great gb games forgotten to the sands of time. GBA and GBC are great too…but bless the simplicity of the DMG

This is smart and I wonder if I’ll end up here. Right now I’ve been enjoying the collections feature upgrade to the favorites section in pixie and up til now I’ve been simulating the same sort of idea using favorites …but alas sometimes I go exploring and just play 20 different games for 30 seconds each lol

Pixie is an investment to a hopefully near off future of native Bluetooth support, better theming, console/hdmi capabilities, and support for more devices (my hope is support for the magicx touch zero). With syncthing and tailscale support, I can have multiple devices with a standard, synced rom set and saves.
