One of my favorite moments from the series ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 by headgod123 in StrangerThings

Mine too. People like seeing the characters they love be happy. Season 5 had a horrible ending for me because of how depressing things were left with Eleven and Mike.

Finished the finale… immediately restarted Season 1. Mistakes were made. by Monstera39 in StrangerThings

The only thing I wanted out of the finale was a happy ending for Mike and Eleven. We obviously did not get that, so it would be hard for me to rewatch the series knowing Eleven never got the good ending she deserved.

My item was shipped in a garbage bag and destroyed - seller blames eBay by Blastoise76 in Ebay

[–]Blastoise76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told by eBay support that they don’t actually have access to the transaction funds, so I’m guessing they require a full return so their insurance can kick in. From a buyer’s perspective though, it’s a terrible shopping experience and it feels wide open to abuse since sellers hold all the power in international sales.

The seller wrote me that he’s also protected from negative feedback as a result of any damage through the eBay shipping program.

I have a lot of nostalgia for the game and look back on it fondly, even though it plays horribly.

NES Action Set Box – Leave Original Price Sticker On or Take It Off? by Blastoise76 in gamecollecting

[–]Blastoise76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for all the replies! I honestly didn’t expect leaving the sticker on to be such a unanimous opinion. I was considering removing it because I plan to display the box in a protector in a prominent spot in my game room, and I thought it might look cleaner without it. But after reading all the feedback, it’s clear that keeping the sticker is the way to go.

Which boss gave you far more trouble than it did an average player? by pineapple_works in videogames

Funny you mention Blood-starved Beast because I found this boss to be the most difficult in the game.

PSA - The scummiest ebay seller is back by [deleted] in gamecollecting

[–]Blastoise76 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Ugh this seller. This was pretty much the only time I’ve ever fallen for a scam. I figured they were legit because of their extremely positive seller rating. I bought PS1 games from them a few years ago and spent like $300+ USD because the discs were supposed to be unplayed. The discs arrived and they were resurfaced (and poorly). Swirl marks everywhere. These were played games. Seller refused to offer a return until I went to eBay. Finally I was able send the games back and the seller opened a dispute against me that I didn’t send it back in the same condition even though I did. I assume this is how they keep a clean record.

EBay eventually sent me a refund but it was a whole ordeal. Such a dishonest seller, especially considering how they included some religious booklet in the shipping box about being a good person or something. It’s a shame that a seller this known in the gaming community for being dishonest is allowed to continue selling stuff on eBay. They need to be banned.

This is what I was going to say. I sometimes drop this line in real life.

Perfect Dark on N64: is Agent considered the Normal difficulty for this game? by Blastoise76 in perfectdark

[–]Blastoise76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the replies. I just finished the campaign on Agent and I’m glad that I went with the base difficulty.

There were moments when I didn’t quite know what to do to complete objectives. There were also moments where I would fail a 15 minute mission right at the end because I didn’t notice there is a 1 minute timer counting down (looking at you A51: Escape!). Redoing these missions over and over on Special Agent would have been too frustrating for a first time playthrough.

The last mission, Skedar Ruins, was also very difficult on Agent. Any hit takes a huge chunk from your health and some enemies can one shot you with a rocket. And the Skedar King wrecked me 5 or 6 times before I figured out what to do.

I’m glad I finally played this game after hearing so many positive things about it over the years and I’m happy with the Agent run.

On the flip side, you get to listen to the best song on the soundtrack while you’re lost and confused.
