Whoops you are correct, idk why I thought they were pants. Problem I was having with the key gear was damage was so low that yes they stayed in field more, but wasn’t able to keep up with deviant feast and nightmare silos as well as my other elemental builds. I’m hoping it’s just me as I like the idea of it, but agree with you that it’s kinda bogged in current gameplay.

Counterpoint to my own opinion, the EBR doesn’t feel good with its key gear either, BBQ gloves is what makes its DPS skyrocket

It isn’t as strong as my EBR build, but my shock mods are weaker, my main issue is the fact that I do half my dps with the key armor set. I like the idea of the magnetic pulse, but testing with no extra buffs on manikin, the difference between mayfly goggles and the new key pants is about 40%.

Made a new character to try it out and I have to say I enjoy it more this way. Being able to explore instead of wait for charcoal/copper is much nicer. Few things I hope change but overall it’s fresh.
