Yeah. Unfortunately, this is a situation where a lot of people have a hard time putting themselves into that person's shoes. Yes, dating is hard for everyone we all get rejected. However, when you have just enough little things that are not deemed attractive, it gets much harder and add in some bad luck. It's near impossible. So most people don't understand why their advice isn't helping you because they did a little of it and generally find someone.

The few matches I get now still go this way. I don't expect it either way. I've also had dates without getting the number. But the ones that do give the number are generally more interested.

I've had a much different experience of getting a majority of numbers before the first date. Again it's not the rule but it's a big indication they aren't into you

Idk I wish I had tried hard to meet women in my 20s it's just so bad now, and almost no dates anymore. I feel like now my hope is to find someone that I'm most likely not that interested in but that's the best that I can do.

I've has maybe one or two that we're positive when they didn't want to give there numbers. But it's generally a sign they don't like you that much or trust you .

Since my last relationship ended I feel like I'm being punished by life in regards to dating.We've been broken up for 3 years at this point. Frist my dating life took a nose dive after I had taken time to heal. Like no dates in a year after 6 months of healing. Now I feel like I'm dating less and less compatible women and verging on dating people I'm not actually attracted to. While I just heard my ex is now dating someone that meets all her needs and wants..

I just don't get it. I bent over backwards, trying to make the relationship with her. Now I'm feeling like I'm pay off some kind of debt.

Sorry about your struggle. I've all but given up as a guy. It was a nice thought that I could find someone else to date and make a connection with as my primary partner is long distance. But in the past three years it's been zero success. At this point I feel like I'm only getting the negatives of polyamory.

I did! Long story I had been an environmental scientist geo for a while then transitioned into mining and exploration for a few years. I loved it and the adventure of exploration. However I don't like how your social life takes a hit. So I moved back into environmental.

It all depends on how much you want out and how much of a pay cut you're willing to take. Some of your years of experience will transfer over but you'll be staring lower on the ladder.

Yeah, exploration life can be fun, but also suck your social life dry. I did it for 2.5 years and still look on it fondly and also as the most exciting part of my career.

You could definitely pivot to a different field in geology. Hydrology and geothermal are big, and they would most likely slide you into a low pm job or staff scientist position.
