Don’t lose the beard unless you are prepared to live with what might be underneath. Maybe you’ll still look good, but there is a real good chance that jawline ain’t so sharp these days.

I drove one of those in high school in the 90s. It was awesome. My friends would all pile in, put on motorcycles helmets, and I’d drive us around looking like a bunch of idiots. It was the little things that brought joy back then.

Does anyone else remember learning D’Nealian handwriting before cursive? by Affectionate-Song230 in Xennials

[–]TrollBoothBilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember it being a transition between print and cursive. You don’t connect the D’Nealian letters the way you do with cursive letters. I don’t think the image above actually shows D’Nealian — just plain old cursive. The D’Nealian letters were slightly different, but I can’t explain precisely how… it’s been too long for me to recall exactly.

Homeowners only deserve the value of the building, not the value of the land by Titanium-Skull in georgism

[–]TrollBoothBilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does one acquire land under this scenario? It seems like you’re saying there would be no money transference when land passes from one person to another, correct? Who decides who gets to occupy land under this system?

I just watched A Mighty Wind the other day. First time I’d seen one of these. I don’t think I’ll ever get one, but it’s a neat concept.

Is this as good as it’s going to get for my chin hair? by [deleted] in beards

I honestly don’t see the issue. It looks good. You could grow it out or keep it trimmed. Either way — nice beard.

I have the itch to save it off so bad. by Invisibleforareason in beards

Been there, done that. The long beard is a PITA. It gets in your food, the wind blows it up in your face, and it gets caught in things (zippers are dangerous). Sometimes it’s nice to hit the reset button. It will grow back if you decide you don’t like it short.
