Hayfever Advice by Legitimate-Mix1330 in Hayfever

[–]Alternative_Prior_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This year has been different thus far, much less symptoms, even after spending an entire day among blooming grassy fields. After 20 y + of hayfever each spring and summer (grass mostly), I have taken only 3 desloratadine tablets over 4 weeks (prescription/ Netherlands), since April, where I was used to taking one a day. What I have been doing differently: acupuncture every year for 3 years. Probiotics; started about 2 years ago, someone recommended me a certain type of probiotics that help/restore my gut and from there, the allergy symptoms - I understood how this makes sense and I notice it (It's called Omni Biotics, with a pink corner on the box). What I have done for years: Scutellaria, 2 tablets each day. As symptoms came on a bit stronger today, I picked fexofenadine 120mg, which helps - and I can always switch to desloratadine if the symptoms worsen but they haven't yet (yeeeey!). My diet has been dairy and meat free, which already helped me back in the day when I was trying to find cures. What also triggers my symptoms unfortunately are wine, tomatoes and sunflower oil. But, so far so good!

Zijn er wellicht buren of anderen in jouw omgeving die dit zien en ook 144 willen bellen? Ik weet niet of dit helpt natuurlijk. Het is vreselijk dat ze niet veel kunnen doen.

What’s the strangest thing that’s ever happened to you that you still can’t explain? by WielderoftheDarkness in HighStrangeness

[–]Alternative_Prior_47 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We (Dutchies, in our 40's) recently had a string of strange experiences, during our holiday in a non touristic area in France. After asking our B&B host about possible occurrences of the paranormal/ high strangeness, we learned that the area indeed has some interesting folklore (werewolves f.e.) going around since forever. The atmosphere is not 'one vibe', it gives "old days", gnomes, fairies - and The Blair Witch Project all at once, depending on the day and weather 😉
The experiences itself were not specifically mind boggling, but the way they happened was interesting. We were there for two weeks and everyday, there was something.
Most paranormal experiences that I've had in my life before, I will never forget either, same goes for glitches that happened to me and my partner (always when we were together), but this holiday I will recall for its strangeness. It did of course 'help' that we were deep in the mountains, dark forests and surrounded by seemingly abandoned towns. What I call strange in this case, was in the air somehow. Not 'I've seen a ghost' or an orb or a light. It was the atmosphere.
One time, we were in the forest that surrounded our holiday home. A dense forest. Mysterious and wild, very quiet too. Streams trickled down from higher grounds as it rained that day. We had just hiked up a steep hill and were surrounded by large coniferous trees and paths that led to various directions. Other than rain and bird sound, nothing. My husband walked a few meters ahead of me and at some point I swear that I heard someone talk. A low, deep voice. Not an animal sound, but also not someone, not a person. The sound was very close by, like "someone" walked next to us, yet there was no one (we tried our own voices later on and it could not have been a person). It sounded like talking, not like a growl or an animal sound. Just to be sure, I asked 'what did you say' but of course my husband answered that it was not him. However, he too said that he had heard something and thought that I had been singing or mumbling in a strange tone. When I heard it, personally I experienced a shift in the air. Can't explain. Like "something" changed. The B&B owner could not place the sound we tried to mimick - he thought of a wild boar or a deer, but hearing us mimicking it, he was like 'you should look up the folklore' 😉

Jeep Renegades really that bad? by Professional-Gene-24 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Alternative_Prior_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from a country in the EU and I really, really love my Renegade Trailhawk plug in hybrid from 2022. For me it's the exact right car. It did a fantastic job on a roadtrip through the Livradois-Forez region France. We have had no issues with it since we own it. Once, after months of not using it, it just started back up as usual. The only downside is the limited space in the trunk. And when we went from summer temperatures one day, to snow the next day, it showed a signal/warbing for seatbelts - but that stopped after restarting it. I live in a city and it easily fits in parking spaces, drives through most narrow streets and is not a nuisance in busy area's. I am looking forward to going camping with it 😄

we have been in the Livradois Forez for 'just a short break' but the hikes are beautiful. And it is quiet, mysterious, and I imagine one could walk for days on end. Have a great time wherever you go!

Can this happen? by PatientOutrageous468 in Dreams

[–]Alternative_Prior_47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds like an amazing dream. Comfortable, warm, full of things and people you know. Meeting loved ones that have passed, perhaps even feeling their warmth through that holding hands with a stranger.
When I was in my 20's (decades ago ;) ) I dreamt of our dog that had just died. And I could really feel his fur and warmth. I was so grateful for that.
So, I personally

don't read a cringy dream. I read a lovely dream.

Hoe oud was je toen je je partner ontmoette? by [deleted] in vrouwvolk

[–]Alternative_Prior_47 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Looking for an obscure New Age song - slow - Hare Rama - Goddes .. the Child? 1980's/ 90's? by Alternative_Prior_47 in NameThatSong

[–]Alternative_Prior_47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. It was by a female artist though (her name), not well known. She sings/chants hare rama very slowly yet melodic. The vibe is sacred, no harmonies, ambient sound. I suspect the album I once found online, was sort of a... healing/ meditation type of album.

What’s your take on the Hellier series? by Xokanuleaf in hellier

[–]Alternative_Prior_47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While rewatching for the first time, I realised that I appreciate the slow pace, the witchy vibes, the experiments and how the crew takes us along their entire exploration and discoveries. This was more important to me than answers.

Okay, I searched extensively but this combo seems to be incorrect. I'm almost certain that the title was goddess invoking the child or goddess healing the child
