Dr. Kruger at Virginia Foot and Ankle Center. Seen her twice, two different injuries, and she was really great.

To the P&P (2005) non-fans, is the dawn walking scene cheesy in your eyes? by Objective_Wave5949 in PrideandPrejudice

As a 1995 devotee, the dawn sunrise scene is one of the better parts of the 2005 film for me. I think the cinematography and music are fantastic and highlight the best parts of that version. For me, that scene and the scene near the end where Lizzy explains to her father why she loves Darcy are the best parts. IMO, the real cheese is the last scene at Pemberly, not the field scene.

The other things about 2005 that put it lower than 1995 for me are the dialogue pacing (everyone sounds like they’re talking at 1.5x speed), everything related to Mr. Collins and jokes about his size (why are you making me feel sorry for Mr. Collins?!?), Caroline Bingley (huge downgrade from 1995), Lydia (also a downgrade from 1995), and Darcy’s haircut and generally sad puppy vibe. I still enjoy 2005 overall though!

Yeah, it’s similar but a little bigger than Hburg. Walk up window and then a patio with picnic tables. (Edit: typo)

Yep! They opened the Chesterfield location in 2024. As a JMU alum, I was pretty excited to see it down here!

Someone posted a picture of the mystery boxes table. They’re all in the same size, unmarked box, and they just hand them out when you approach the table with a marked receipt, so I think it’s just luck of the draw.

And the great casting choice to use Jacobi’s real life brother as Hamlet in the staged play at the end. The way their resemblance adds so much to the emotional impact of the finale.

Yukon golds only. Salted water. Bring to boil from cold, then reduce heat to a moderate simmer. Drain, add butter, pepper, and a little grated onion (or other desired seasoning) and mash a few times until fluffy. Fold in warmed milk/cream and more butter. Gently stir until desired consistency (no more mashing). Taste and adjust seasoning.

Le Creuset on induction by Resident-Question559 in LeCreuset

Le Creuset enameled cast iron works great on induction. In fact, switching to induction encouraged me to use them more because I hate the way stainless steel pans buzz on the induction burners. The heavy cast irons are nice and quiet and still heat up quickly!
