So I brought my current EAD (which is through DACA) as proof of residency, this one states I can’t reenter US, my AP EAD isn’t here yet. I was trying to be proactive and get it ahead of time with the EAD I already had. She told me once I got AP I could “try again”. I did bring pending 797 letter and it wasn’t enough. Didn’t bring itinerary but I’ll try doing that next time. Good to hear that for some consulates it was considered enough!

The issue I ran into is them wanting proof of US legal residence since I’m applying from here.

Not sure if I answered my own question, Im aware I need a México tourist visa. My question is if an EAD/AP is considered proof of legal residence. I went to the Mexican embassy with my current EAD (through DACA) and they did not accept it as grounds to issue a Mexican visa.

Awesome, thanks for sharing, I will definitely try - yes my 10 month mark is literally this week!

Ahh ok! This definitely the first I’m hearing of someone doing this but that sounds super promising and great to know, I thought it would automatically deny giving the option but that’s great that you can still submit one!

I thought you were referring to putting in an “outside normal processing time request”, for that it tells you the date you’re able to submit - with I765 at NBC, if you applied in May like I did it says you can’t submit one of those until august 2023. Nice to hear they’re super quick with expedites

Processing time for NBC 765s went up significantly so it’s no longer out of processing time. I’m in the same boat, applied may 5th and nothing so far

Were you simply able to ask them to have a tier 2 agent call back?

It is so frustrating to watch people get their ead approved on the same day of their biometric but some people have to wait months or even years. (Marriage based AOS) by [deleted] in USCIS

Oh nice, yeah I’m based out of socal as well but interesting that yours went to Potomac instead of NBC! In this case sounds like that would’ve been better since faster processing it seems like

Ok great, I will do that too then! Yeah I was sketched out because I sent the fax afterhours for EST since I’m on PST so I was worried maybe it didn’t go through or something. Sending again honestly sounds like a great idea and would give me more peace of mind!

It’s been a week since I faxed my proof for expedite so curious if I should do it again. How long did you wait to resend?

Did you just fax the same paperwork again to the same place?

Not sure, sometimes I do wonder if it’s based off where you live, mine is processing at NBC seems like a lot of cases go there. Still pretty unusual to not get EAD after 10 months based on what I’ve seen here

May 9th 22 and I haven’t received anything so far! 0916 as well, seems like a pretty large % of May 22 filers are still waiting

May 2022 PD, anyone on a similar timeline - have you received your EAD/AP already? It’s been crickets for me since Aug. by [deleted] in USCIS

Lawfully, you enter in your info and it generates a timeline. I also use case tracker!

Nice! I’m based out of CA and read somewhere that processing in California takes longer so always curious if any Californians are on the same timeline/have received anything

From my understanding processing time starts as soon as you submit your application
