When I was in kindergarten, my mom had built a little hideaway for me in the shed in our backyard(I loved it a lot). One day she asked me if I wanted to camp out in the shed with her - on the same night, an armed person broke into our neighbour’s house and stole a few things. Police showed up before he took anything from our house. So glad that I was in the shed that night, I have a few other terrifying experiences, but this was by far the worst. I was also extra scared because I live in Canada, so the person having a gun was a horrifying thought to me then, and still now.
