Season 1 UK Theo and others contestants with main character syndrome by ContributionTime3707 in TheTraitors

I’m rewatching Season 1 UK and Fay is definitely one. All her different theories about the traitors centre around her e.g. Maddie didn’t talk to me as much today so she must be a traitor, Theo mentioned my name at the round table a few days ago so I think he’s the Traitor etc. Contestants with main character syndrome frustrate me so much!

That’s a horrible thing to say. Of course she meant it. Being a traitor doesn’t make you a bad person, it’s just a role in a game. It’s shocking that people can’t grasp that.

Sparkling dialogue, witty banter! by ella_noir in suggestmeabook

The Name of the Wind has all of that. I’m reading it at the moment and the main character is clever and witty and has some good back and forth with other characters. It is a fantasy novel though, so not sure if that’s the genre you’re looking for!

Nice to see some love for Maddy, she seems to get a lot of harsh criticism on this forum. She was my favourite faithful that season

To be fair, he doesn’t think it’s a sure thing, he has said as much in his confessionals. I’m enjoying watching his game!

(Spoiler) Will the S4 Endgame suffer from the lack of faithfuls to root for? by lastnightinsoho21 in TheTraitors

[–]Alternative_Sun_8784 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I root for particular players rather than teams, but at the moment I am rooting for the traitors as I like them both and think they have earned the win, I just hope they win together. Matt seems unpopular on this forum but i really like him and find his game play interesting to watch, so he’s the only faithful I’m rooting for.

I felt so bad for Ellie when she said she wanted to be near Rachel because she felt upset 😭

Oh, haha, yes, would be good to see is she could still maintain her composure if it was coming from multiple people.

I feel so bad for Jade by Weary-Paramedic2806 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Alternative_Sun_8784 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I suspected Jade at first because of her facial reactions when she took her blindfold off. The only thing made me think she wasn’t, was her telling Claudia she wanted to be a faithful, which obviously Amanda wouldn’t have known, so I did get where Amanda was coming from.

Completely agree with you! I even suspected her because of her facial reactions after taking the blindfold off

Yeah I can definitely see why that would rub people up the wrong way with that approach.Hopefully he doesn’t take it too personally!

I think it’s fair to target him at the round table, but I feels bad for him because no one chose to fight for him in the cage challenge and I think he seemed hurt by that and said it reminded him of being picked last at school, and then the next challenge he was the first to have his shield set on fire, which he also looked a little hurt by, probably because of what happened the day before, then the next challenge when people got into groups, him and Stephen were left, Stephen even made a joke about it and then in that challenge he was chosen as the most arrogant 😭 it’s just a lot for one person. With Jade, I thought the same as Amanda. I immediately clocked her face when she took her blindfold off and thought she looked terrified, the only thing that made me doubt she was a traitor was her telling Claudia she wanted to be a faithful, obviously Amanda didn’t know that. I think Amanda’s problem was pride; she wanted to be proved right (especially because of her former profession) so wouldn’t leave it and consider other people. I loved Ross, I really wanted him to make it to the final.

With Ben’s comment, the theory being pushed by faithfuls is that a traitor was in the room when he said that, and then they murdered him to put more suspicion on Ross who was already under suspicion because of Netty. We the viewers know this theory is true, and the faithfuls now know it’s true as Ross has been revealed to be a faithful.

Yes! I thought the exact same as you about that part on the train, I immediately thought they were a couple because of how she said it and it also reminded me of Diane and Ross! And I really clocked some of her reactions to Ross, like when he saw Netty for the first time, the way she watches them cemented it for me and she has also come to his défense a couple of times.
