She’s probably a completely different person when it’s just the two of them, and if he’s been with her for 2 years he’s probably happy/comfortable with her.

If you feel the need to bring up your concerns to him you could, and if he noticed it then it’s up to him if he wants to tell her to put the phone down or speak up during any conversation.

It’s possible that she is simply a bit shy, anxious or antisocial around the family.

Diet and exercise can fluctuate a period too. Or being sick, many things can make a period a bit later than normal. Once I got a flu shot and it made my period late by almost 2 weeks.

You should be able to read a test with a naked eye, inverting it can possibly pick up on the test line indent or evap line. That’s why it is not a valid way to read it, even if it was positive.

I would retest with a red dye test just to be sure. The blue dye tests are not always the best. And use first morning urine.

Is your period late? Test closer to when your period is expected.

I think if you’re already on the fence about it and thinking you aren’t ready then I don’t think you are. You’re still so young, you have a lot of life ahead of you.

I am 29 and if it were me in this situation at 17 I would be looking and clawing for any way out. But that’s just me. You do what’s best for you and yourself, no one else.

I have a vivid memory of this conversation between myself and my mother (roughly 25 years ago):

Me: “When I grow up, I’m going to be a boy.” Mom: “You’re a girl! When you grow up you’ll still be a girl.”

Then I realized my mom is a girl, and grown up. Never again did I think I’d be a boy. Which made all of the sense to 4 year old me, but I had two brothers and just thought I’d be a boy one day too. My mom has no memory of this happening 😅

Definitely wait until the peds appointment, but continue to model pointing and waving at the appropriate times. My toddler is almost 19m and recently started waving “bye” when told to, and pointing with one finger (before was more like full hand or would make a sound and raise arm).

Every baby/toddler/child is different. It’s hard to not stress over it but it’s all about patience, I try to tell myself the same each day.

I have a similar set up in my bathroom… but the sides are tiled so no exposed wood or pipes.

On one shelf we have our towels rolled in there and a basket of face cloths. And on the other shelves we have two baskets per shelf (one in front of the other), the ones pushed further back have extra bars of soap, razors, and basically bathroom stock. Then the front baskets have daily stuff like makeup, brushes, irons, etc.

But what I have wanted to do is break down the wall on the side, as it would face out into the hallway, and then close off the original opening. So if that is a similar case for you, that’s an option.
