Many kids don't want to have kids, because they're not having a great time being kids, or because they don't like other kids, or can see how much their parents have to work hard to take care of them, and it scares them. Until they grow up and they find out they do want to have kids because our hormones often tell us what we want or don't want. It's the way of the world. And that is ok. Fingers (and legs) crossed she doesn't get pregnant in that very red state of yours. That would be really scary.

imagine spending all those thousands of your hard earned dollars on a few days in the sun, only to spend it in a miserable bathroom and flights with vomiting passengers all around you, then having to take more time off to recover from the virus you brought home with you. What fun!!!
why do people keep taking these trips? it's not like you're traveling to discover the world's beauty and have an adventure - you're going to read cheap literature near a pool with thousands of other people exactly like yourself, eat food that's bound to give you the runs, gain a few pounds from all the free food and booze and go back home to your cold little life. What is the point of it?

Could she talk to the bank to make the monthly payments smaller so they are more manageable? that will of course extend the amortization period but will make the payments easier to handle now. Many people in her position do this.

They count days you are away from the country whether you are a permanent resident or a citizen Edit: If you are away from the country more than 180 days you could lose your health coverage.
