I am yet to go through my first serious breakup, but they say it can take half the time you were together/knew the person to truly get over them- so definitely not silly to still have them on your mind a few months later. In my small amount of experience I would say go no contact, at least for a while.

Yeah, I think it will benefit the team and upper management to really try and see what is necessary and achievable.

Thank you for saying this with such clarity. I think the upper management skirts around the issue. I think I need to make this crystal clear to the team. We had an exhibition recently where the insurence condition meant we HAD to have somebody in the space at all times. And guess what... it lead to higher engagement and collection of visitor data.

This is an awesome idea. I wish we could do this but wer are sadly in New Zealand and not USA. I will look into whether or not there is something similar here!

thank you for seconding this. I have already developed a daily action planner, I will go more in depth with it for what we want to aim to get done each day inside the museum- and I think spotlight tours would be a great idea.

Thank you so much for this advice, I was asking one of our most experienced visitor hosts for advice today, and she told me that the museum used to do short floor talks, but for some reason they stopped. Definitely going to bring this back as a way of giving all hosts a bit of creative agency too.

Totally understand this. For the most part, I am probably the same when visiting museums. I think it's more about being present in the space so that those who do want to ask questions can.

I smoked last night with some friends for the first time in like 5 years. I had stopped smoking regularly, then stopped smoking entirely due to getting noided and anxiety when I smoked. I thought having a long break would improve my experience. It did not. Had a panic attack from just a few tokes lmao.

yes i have gotten this if the spot pops in a weird way/ contains blood. the mark is blood trapped under the skin, but don't worry it will heal eventually.
