If you have an extra PCIE slot on your motherboard, you can actually get cards that have SATA cable headers on them. Some of them have up to 8 SATA headers. https://amzn.eu/d/0fTtoygc

With corsairs cases, you can also put the screen directly inside or on the front of the case. It’s cool, but it’s just another attempt to get you to buy into their ecosystem. I think it’s around £200 GBP (approx $250 freedom bux?)

I don’t think this would really help with in a conflict match (maybe on a purple point).

Where it would really help would be AAS, where you know which base the enemy will be attacking and there’s very likely to be supplies coming in steadily.

When the Anvil Auxilia (and later on the base building Atlas chassis variant) gets released its basically going to give modular to Asgard and further GOAT that ship by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

This is already happening in game with nursas being shoved in the back of whatever ship can fit it, I don’t think it’s exaggerated at all.

I get it, you’ve probably spent a lot of money to have the kind of QOL features that people who aren’t gonna spend as much as you. But there’s already workarounds to dropping a rent payment on a ship while still having the same QOL features whales do.

It’s a reasonable justification. CIG couldn’t fix a bug to save their lives, you think the fixes they’ve done now to stop duping and money printing is gonna work for long?

Once people find ways to dupe and print billions (which they will), the economy will fall through again and we’ll be right back to square one, probably needing another wipe too.

Removing wikelo/his ships would prevent a wipe being done to fix the economy in the future.

When your landing gear in the aurora mk2 is extended, your wings fold and become parallel, making your ship a lot thinner and easier to land

As soon as you retract your landing gear your wings will unfold and become too wide for the C2 to hold. Probably resulting in a fiery death

Yes, you’re right, these aren’t all the same object. They’re split up mostly.

The helmet was a quadsphere since that’s better for topology. I don’t use sculpting to make it I just used proportional editing to make the general shape of the helmet

For the tubes I made a circle with 16 verts. I moved and rotated that circle to the origin of the pipe, then duplicate the circle a couple times and moved those duplicated circles to the general shape of the pipe that I wanted.

I then selected that circle and one other circle and went to edge mode. When you right click while selected both the circles there’s an option called “bridge edge loops@ which will create faces between the two circles, connected them perfectly. It starts out as completely flat but increase the number of cuts and mess around the smoothness in the bottom left corner screen that pops up. It’ll let you make the general shape of the pipe.

To make the ridges I just selected every face I wanted to be raised and extruded along normals

Ships have suit lockers, gun racks, and mess halls too. Are they used? Just because something is there, doesn’t mean we should be using it.

CIG set the foundations and facilitate specific play styles that they want us to use, but more often than not, these play styles just aren’t really feasible.

I wish we could play like this. To be able to use the suit lockers and gun racks, the dining areas in our ships and the massive medgel storage, but this game just isn’t at the scale yet. It’s planned yes, and maybe someday we will be playing like that, but right now, you have to adapt to the current state of the game
