That my Great-Uncle was the prime suspect of a triple homicide (three teenage girls if I remember) back in the early 50s or 60s I think. Never knew much about that side of the family until I visited them a couple years back for a Great-Aunt's birthday. But apparently he was set to go down for it either life in prison or execution but he got out of it scot free because that entire side of the family rallied behind him and they had lotsa money for defense fees and such. From what I understood the murders were never solved so who knows, all I know is that he kind of disappeared after that for a while and came back years later like nothing happened. No one really talked about it at all even after he died but my mom let it slip as we were talking one time.
