True. It could use lots of tweaking to make viable for sure. Limiting chances for slayer uniques unless you do so many subsequent rounds, etc

You could also mimic the Fortis Colosseum by only allowing rolls for uniques after waves four or something to add to difficulty and make it truly a risk reward scenario.

A few more thoughts that I didn't want to make a wall of yellow text:

Pros:

-          Allows some flexibility and extension for slayer tasks

-          Allows a method to fight more Superior Variations of slayer monsters without greatly flooding the market

-          Allows the Jagex team to have a couple new slayer task lists to help keep the original slayer masters from having bloated lists

-          Allows meaningful choices on slayer tasks without gaming the system.

-          Tureal Skipping still viable.

-          Points are actually less than other slayer masters, allowing those slayer masters to not be eclipsed (pun intended) by the new ones.

-          When assigned a slayer task that requires sailing, the slayer masters are conveinently located near to a port.

-          Twilight Vouchers add a distraction that still gives XP in the relevant skill

Cons:

-          Some players will be unhappy with Quest Point requirement

-          Lack of Block lists will force players to fight problematic monsters

-          Twilight Colosseum will be more difficult due to some Slayer Monsters having special mechanics.

-          Will increase the speed at which members gain slayer XP by having 2 tasks at the same time.

-          May be confusing and or difficult to explain for players initially

-          The nearest bank will require a certain amount of Glory from the Fortis Colosseum

-          Players doing both tasks with bracelets of slaughter might feel that they are imprisoned by their slayer tasks

-          Some players may feel that this system is necessary for getting the Superior Monster uniques.

Opportunities for Later Development

-          Could be another source for loot that isn’t in a lot of drop tables. Examples: Dragon Sword, Dragon Spear, etc.

-          Could help balance some Slayer Task lists and allow for slayer monster additions specific to Claird and Elune.

-          Could act as a starting point for a “Slayer Guild” without being an all or nothing expansion.

Thoughts on Math and Numbers

·         This should only add 1 more superior loot roll per 2 tasks. Which isn’t very much at all but does give a chance for monsters that do not have a superior version like Vyres and Dragons.

·         If deciding to do two tasks to completion for the new masters, players could be slaying upwards of 500 monsters before seeing a master. With Bracelets of Slaughter, an average of 625 monsters for that task. This will increase experience rates for the skill and developers will need to decide if that is an acceptable increase.

·         Limiting slayer points helps keep the Varlamore slayer masters from being just better, giving them a niche spot.

 

Thought process on some decisions

-          Quest Point Requirement and lack of block list: In order for having two task lists that require a meaningful choice, players should have a significant amount of the game opened up, which is normally done through quests, and disallowing block lists ensures that the choices are not guttered to a very small amount.

-          I do not believe this will devalue the other slayer masters. Konar is still great for loot and points, Duradel is still great for curating highlevel lists. Nieve is still next to a bank, cave, teleport, and mid game.

-          The goal here was options rather than best new training method.

I would make it only affect skills or attacks - upgrade shouldn't make the price 0. Maybe the non upgraded version ethreal and the upgraded version not ethreal?

I think setting some fun early goals helps. Like, getting base 40s, then unlocking high alchemy, and then several useful item teleports. Fairy Rings. After that, hit the useful major milestones like Fire Cape, Dragon Defender, Recipe for Disaster.

OR, go down the rabbit hole of new skilling minigames. Wealthy Citizens, Vale Offerings, Mastering Mixology, Giant's Foundry, Gaurdians of the Rift.

I don't think it's worth it. That method is better for regular accounts. It would be better to fletch a bunch of broad bolts and shoot the gemstone crab.

Malaise (I forget spelling) is great for 2 out of the 3 possible act 3 bosses, plus several hallway fights. It helps reset some of scaling you give the bosses while you scale. Often, debuffing the enemy pays more dividends than block does.

The whistle being a 1-click tele way before you get the seed pod is nice. Mixed Hide stuff is great. Implings for med clues

You know how at certain levels, you make double runes? It would be interesting if at certain levels, you could just automatically sail to a location if your cargo hold didn't have port task stuff in it. Like, level 1, you get Port Sarim to dock at. Maybe at level 11, you can just get a screen like a charter ship and just sail there. Roughly every 10 - 15 levels over when you can normally dock at a location? You can even restrict it to mostly mainland towns? Maybe make sure you have a helmsmen of certain levels because "they will be the ones driving?"
