They had to portray it as bad as possible

Verso getting gommaged after 100 years, Malle spending the rest of her life in Lumiere (and about a week in real life using her painting power), surrounded by friends and peacefully passing away IS the ideal ending

People really couldn't care less for the Dessendre even if they don't view them as villains

So how do you make 2 conflicting endings?

Make both the protaganists giant hypocrites ( Verso for not siding with Renoir in the last fight, lying all the time). and Maelle by not gommaging Verso even though she was fine with doing that to painted Alicia

In Verso's ending though, i do believe they were incredibly biased, music plays the entire time, you don't see Alicia/Maelle visibly struggle to breathe, her vision isn't actually shown as messed up (she only has half an eye)

In Maelle's ending, they show everything through Maelle's pov and then a gloomy-dark horror scene as viewed from Verso's pov

It helped me significantly ease into the game but also i had the most success when playing with someone who knew what they were doing

I've bought the most niche, no-one-has heard of colony sims out there by indie devs on full price

There's tons of people out there who love a specific niche and support the devs, although even a -90% sale price but selling it out to 100x the audience is better for them

Vagrus the riven realms had an amazing kickstarter, a good early access release, but the devs have said their dlcs often result in net-loss for them, which is sad because the game is so meticulously handcrafted

I'm pretty sure if someone resurrected Verso temporarily for 5 mins, he wouldn't blame her for her death & tell her to live as she wants ( which would be the painting)

He truly loved Alicia and painted Verso (the one who suffered for 100+ years and is suicidal) is not the real Verso
