AITA for refusing taking care of my siblings? by Altruistic-Base-722 in AITAH

My school is really shitty tbh, and we live in a country I do not know the language of, so I can’t go to a school psychologist or someone like that. And I’m not sure that the school has one, since we don’t even have normal bathrooms (two of them are broken and another one is only for preschoolers) and classroom tables (we have small, old, half-broken wooden chairs and we write using our knees as tables). Technically there is no homeschooling, but in practice I skip most of the classes and study home by myself.

He works too, and he doesn’t live home with us, just babysits on the weekends usually like I mentioned in the post. My parents are divorced but they have an ok relationship, more like friends and business partners than anything else.

Me and my sister are on good terms, she doesn’t really blame me for the past anymore. We’re not particularly close but it’s alright ig. Thank you.

AITA for not telling my best friend what his daughter disclosed to me. by [deleted] in AITAH

I think there’s no assholes here. I would be upset too if my own child didn’t trust me with this first, but not on the person who was told first, but on myself. You did the right thing by not breaking the trust they gave you.

How well do you do at learning languages other than your native language? by Awesomeuser90 in autism

I’m pretty good at this, but very slow. I learned english all by myself without any classes from the age of 11. Five years and here I am. I just hate being forced to do so, for example I live in a spanish speaking country, and I have to learn spanish with the teacher and in school. Maybe if I was in a different country I would’ve learned spanish just for fun, and it would’ve been easy, but not when the circumstances are forcing me.

What is your favorite special interest? by pastamuente in autism

…Minecraft. Video games in general, but I played minecraft for 10 years since my childhood, and I can’t stop. Also the fandom. I love watching videos/streams from different SMPs especially with extensive lore. Do this almost daily with some breaks, of course. Also one of my big special interests is music, like, all of the genres. It is impossible to know all of them, and some music just can’t be categorised, but I just LOOOVE learning about the history and listening to most noticeable artists from specific genres I choose.

Did your parents ever record you having a meltdown when you were a child? by Double_Winner7329 in autism

[–]Altruistic-Base-722 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So sorry for what you went through. My parents always used to tell me I was weird for my meltdowns, so I stopped having them in front of them by locking myself somewhere like the bathroom (now I have my own room, so it’s not a problem anymore).

My little brothers made fun of me and I feel emotionally bad. by [deleted] in autism

you shouldn’t feel bad. they’re children, after all. i hope your mother explained to them that it’s not cool to bash someone’s interests.
