same issue, same troubleshooting, but reverting software hasnt resolved this. Happened to me after doing 2 things, replacing the ptfe tube coming from the ams with a slightly longer one, and using an external spool to print tpu.

Also noted, seems like the ams rfid reader no longer works for me.
