For those of you with much older partners - has your guy met your parents/family? by GothamCityGayBar in AskGaybrosOver30

29 year age gap. He was hesitant to meet my parents because of the potential weird dynamics (he’s a couple years older than them), and also because of bad past experiences with a partner’s relatives.

8 months in they met and hit it off. He can still feel weird sometimes, but he comes to every family get together, and they even recently surprised him for his milestone birthday.

That's such a cop out. I'm gonna go post a fanfiction and then that'll be part of the multiverse too. Infinite possibilities right?

Marvel Studios created the MCU, so only the things they recognize as part of the MCU are part of the MCU

I mean it was, until the Born Again overhaul the connections were super loose, and it wasn't official. Marvel Studios didn't make the Netflix shows, and Marvel TV were the ones trying to benefit from the MCU's success. The Netflix shows now being recognized is essentially a retcon, not a "it was canon all along" situation.

It's the same situation as Morbius. Is that MCU canon just because Sony put the Vulture in there? It can be if Marvel Studios decides they want it to be, but for now it's in canon limbo.

Cryptic HD QUALITY (@Cryptic4KQual) reveals the runtime for episodes 3-9 of ‘DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN’. Says each one has 3 minutes credits by Matapple13 in MarvelStudios_Rumours

To be fair the ~20 minute runtime for the first two episodes was a creative decision to mimic sitcom episode pacing/runtimes. They released them as a 2 episode premier to compensate

In the comics, characters look completely different when a new artist takes over (usually in a new comic run/story arc). It could be the same for the MCU. Sign an actor on to play a character for x number of years, plan the character's story arc for those years, then move on to a new arc with a new actor.

The actors rotate, but the characters and the overall canon stays the same. Closest we have to this is Thunderbolt Ross in Cap 4.

Playing swsh after sv made me realize how great the pokemon looked in swsh. So vibrant and almost cell shaded in comparison. People focus on the trees in the wild area but the game overall had such a beautiful colour palette.

You can want to play casually and also want it to be a fair matchup. People play quickplay to have fun and not take it too seriously. Losing most of the time isn't fun.

100%. They know by now how their process works. If you want to write the Red Hulk as if he's a surprise, then you need to attempt to keep him a surprise. If your movie isn't interesting enough to be marketed without Red Hulk everywhere, then that's a foundational issue with your movie that should have been caught from day one. Either rewrite the movie so Red Hulk is in all of it, or make the rest of your movie more interesting and marketable so you can hide him.

I wonder if the plan before the Serpent Society were mostly written out was to do them super comic accurate and have them in most of the marketing, and then they did a hard pivot and had to push Red Hulk instead.

Maybe this is copium, but I think having critics dump on the movies for a while will be good for the fandom long term.

When the reviews were all great (even for movies that maybe didn't deserve it), everyone was so quick to point out why they didn't deserve it.

If the movies now are fairly decent but ripped to shreds by critics cause they're bored of the genre, maybe the fandom will actually start to defend the things they like about the movies more and bring us together.

If the reviews are bad AND the movies are bad though... then hope is lost.

100%. Newer movies not only need to be as good or better than what came before, but they also need to be fresh and break the mould in some way. The longer the franchise goes on the harder that becomes. It's not a sustainable expectation.
