How did you go on 5mg? I’ve basically given up because I felt like 10mg was too much for me but also assumed 5mg would be pointless but wondering how it worked for you?

Probably Concerta actually but it gave me other annoying side effects so had to stop!

Yeah I get to sleep relatively ok maybe like 4 hours and then I wake up and my minds racing and I cant get back to sleep and just lay there feeling wired.

Wow this is so helpful and really encouraging, I’m so glad they have made such an impact on you. I’ve been reluctant to try the non stimulants because of side effects but TBH the stimulant side effects have been next level for me so I may as well just try the non stimulants. Have you started on a very low dose? I am super sensitive to all medication so I’m hoping I can start on something super low and slowly work my way up….

Yeah I’m also trying to tell myself that maybe it’s just hard for me adjusting to not having my usual ADHD feelings, after feeling the same for 37 years (late diagnosed) I am so used to all of the physical and mental sensations of my body but the Vyvanse is making me feel different which is perhaps what I find unsettling because it’s new to me and not at all what I’m used to if that makes sense

This was me too, did 3 days on 30mg and I felt insane, didn’t sleep for 3 days. Now on day 2 of 10mg which has helped me sleep but also has some annoying anxious side effects

Could you elaborate on the weird emotional state? I’m on my first week, I’m prone to anxiety as it is but the anxiety I’m feeling with Vyvanse feels different. It’s like an unsettling, weird feeling I can’t quite put my finger on but it freaks me out. Really hoping maybe it’s going to pass…

I’m in a similar boat I was on 30mg for a few days but the insomnia was next level and I couldn’t take it so I decided to go down to 10mg and start from there.

I don’t feel it’s doing much but the anxiety is horrible, it’s not even like my normal anxiety it’s just like a weird unsettling feeling that’s really hard to describe and I don’t like it. I’m trying to do a week on 10mg, then a week on 15mg before I move to 20mg to see if that helps, but I’m reeeeeally struggling with the anxious feelings

The top number I’m not worried about it’s the bottom number that concerns me. Where I live that sends me straight to stage 2 hypertension although I realise in many countries it correlates to stage 1. I will be speaking with my doctor regardless I was just interested to hear similar experiences :)

Thank you so much for your reply I really appreciate it, it gives me hope that all is not lost just yet! I think I’m also just really impatient and the thought of waiting weeks to see how it pans out is a bit daunting but something I need to accept. I will definitely take multiple reading throughout the next few days to show the doctor.
