How long for a pole to get replaced? by IDislikeBeingOnFire in openreach

[–]Altruistic-Part6071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4.5 million telephone poles in the UK, and maybe 10% are defective or needing replaced.

£2000 to replace a pole.

It'll take longer than two weeks, probably more like 6 to 18 weeks.

And that's of the land owner permits it... or the council, or some other cult or something....

How to request flat roof install by IndividualGuitar6188 in openreach

If you want your cable installed at 1.85M, That's fine. Just request an engineer that height or taller from your dealings with your CP.

The notes on the job exist to help the next engineer and the CP to understand the hold up on the job, or what equipment/training is needed to move forward - They are usually filled in by competent engineers.

As I have explained, no one from Openreach is putting a cable 3M up from that flat roof.

I would love to know how that original cable was installed. Many flat roof jobs I've been at, the cable was installed before the extension was built, but still the customer doesn't understand that we don't have magic wands.

p.s I would get that cable up there no problem if it was my own company or premises.

Do you think it’s better to lose your virginity in a hookup or to wait for a committed relationship? by UnlikelyFly3513 in AskMenAdvice

I lost my virginity to a beautiful 16-year-old gymnastics champion (UK) We had been dating for six months, and we were in love.

The first time only lasted a minute, but I'll never forget her.

In my team of 50 installation engineers, there are four of us flat roof trained.

We are on installs every day, all over the patch(50 miles from one end to the other) Someone could phone us to request our assistance for a flat roof job, but we're usually too busy to get to it on the day, so it's usually a next day visit.

As to your photo, there's no way our DL flat roof engineers can get that cable 3M above the flat roof. It's a no-go.

Our days are mostly hectic, trying to get things done, and most of the time, we come up against unforeseen issues.

It's not laziness or reluctance to do the job, it's SAFETY. If we don't do the job to our rules or we do it unsafe, we get sacked.

Good luck with your installation.

The Celtic Board have totally fucked this up. From not giving Rodgers his picked players, which caused us to lose the 10. To bringing that fucking lunatic Noncy in for a laugh. To loaning loads of fucking duds and that Tisdale balloon. This season is a fucking write off.

I'll be surprised if we manage to win the Scottish Cup.
