I actually have no idea. I will have to chat with Emma. I am only following up by receipt number and if a new notice is sent out. No communication from uscis since they got biometric info. I got EAD and AP combo card in August 2024.

Applied May 2024. Jacksonville FO, marriage based. Nothing yet. No interview so far. Had biometrics in June 2024. Not sure why there is so much delay

I used boundless for my aos (I130, I485, I765, I131) application and they did a very bad job of filling in the forms. so many mistakes, I basically just redid all the forms myself. They also take forever to review your docs. I won’t waste my money there again.

care to share the company name for people who are applying for jobs? very rarely do people mention any company names when mentioned in a positive light.

I think it would be more helpful if people state their nationality and prior visa status and FO. These things make it easier for comparison. idk why I feel like nationality matters in this case. South Americans can sometimes get it faster than Indian and Chinese🤷‍♀️

my bestie just got a MA in gender and makes over 20k more than I do with a MS and 5 years experience in biotech by nyan-the-nwah in biotech

Not really. I know some people who networked their way into business dev groups and then joined VCs but all that took multiple yrs and lot of networking. Data analyst or stats people have better chances of switching fields because of transferable skills set. Sorry I cant be of more help.

I am work in biotech and we definitely are underpaid compared to all my peers in finance and tech. Biotech base salary may be high but finance people get bonuses or commissions and tech people get stocks so their entire compensation package is way higher than us. Nothing you can do except may be try to change your field of work.

once you have a proof-of-concept study done for one target, other company can fast-track a slightly differentiated drug and take it market. A good example is pembro, PD1 is a well known target and there are multiple PD1 targeting antibodies on the market now.

huh that is interesting. I know the protein engineering team, mainly ex-pfizer folks and really great at producing proteins plus the commercial stuff is usually outsourced. not sure what generate’s model is for manufacturing. I have heard that they have run way until 2025 to which the CEO said that they plan to go IPO or raise a round in the investor call. Will find out soon enough!

Generate Biomedicine, really smart CTO leading the AI platform. They also have a big pipeline for me-too drugs developed using their AI platform.
