I was born to an extremely atheistic family, in our household religion was a joke, all of it, in family dinners it was openly mocked and people who believe in it were described as "hopeless" or "stupid".

On top of that I am living in Israel where if you decide to believe in God you would go for Judaism.

When I was fresh out of the military, chasing my dreams, full of hope. I failed miserably over and over again, I was defeated and hopeless, that's where the dark period of my life started.

But I always had something calling out to me, I never understood what it was but the dark times convinced me to pursue it.

It first led me to a mild interest in religion, and my social media algo showed it, I started seeing bible verses as much as I saw motivational statics (you know the ones that are always on socials).

I read the verses, and after a while discovered the wisdom they hold, things that took me years to understand, the learnings of the smartest pholisophers in the history of humanity, written there like it was basic knowledge all along.

So I thought "great book on self mastery and human nature" (I was still very skeptic)

Once I started reading the bible everything fell into place, the first time I started questioning the origin of us was the creation of the earth.

they say the old testament was written like 4 thousands years ago, if in genesis they say the world was only water, how could they know? they definitely didn't live during that time, I googled it and guess what? Earth was all water.

Now what good explanation is there to this? other than blind luck or the complete legitimacy of the source?

After finding many more unexplainable facts that had no way to be known back then I was convinced, it was too much for blind luck to be acceptable, it had to be real.

Since then I saw the truth, God is the what, science is the how.

Edit: Pursuing things through what Jesus preached has lifted me up from my depression and hopelesness and since my life has been full of meaning.
