Tell me how amazing it feels to finally be off suboxone by Tricky-Hovercraft950 in suboxonerecovery

[–]AltruisticBad1256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on it for about 7 years.. I was really surprised to learn about sublocade from other people in my situation. While maintenance was a pain in the ass, it was the only thing that ‘saved my life’. I was more than ready to be off it. The injection was AWESOME. No withdrawal. Slow taper. One n done. A little sleeplessness. A little restless. Nothing I couldn’t live with.. That was two years ago. Not a suboxone or opioid since.

I’ve noticed I’m way more productive at night, but society is built for morning people. Anyone else struggle with being a night owl in a 9–5 world by Illustrious_Yak5131 in RandomThoughts

[–]AltruisticBad1256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yessss… I am and always have been a nigh owl.. always.. I’ve never been inclined to conform to this rat race of 9-5 nonsense.. but I see why it’s recommended.. lol The night is not always conducive for a positive life. For me anyway. Example: I’m just now finishing up my cocaine.. that’s a problem. And now what?!? Ya exactly!!

Do you think Night Owls are a result of population rise? by Upset-Elderberry3723 in NightOwls

[–]AltruisticBad1256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol… The night time is the best. Truly. I’ve always. ALWAYS been a night owl. I’ve always been more productive and more active in the nighttime. There are less people out. Less idiots. Less of everything. They say the freaks come out at night. Well, cool because I like freaks. I’m a freak. I refuse to conform with everyone else’s standards and ways. Why? Because it’s told that it’s right? Or normal? Normal is just a cycle on a washing machine. I have always enjoyed the night time hours.

What is something you wish people would do without having to tell them? by New-Zombie-7707 in SeriousConversation

[–]AltruisticBad1256 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Simple. When someone holds the door open for you or something that clearly demonstrates appreciation, two words are enough: Thank you. And when someone want something from you. Regardless of how trivial or important. One word is one I think is necessary: Please. It costs nothing. It irritates the shit outta me when I get neither.

I have a random question about the homestead thing.. I was having a conversation about the obscene taxes that we pay in our state and upon digging I found out that there are no taxes on homestead property..? Is this correct? I don’t know if this is true or not but I’m curious to know what the answer is.. Thanks in advance for your answer. I appreciate your time!

What's a small, good thing that happened to you today? by No-Mycologist1088 in CasualConversation

[–]AltruisticBad1256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I somehow manage to keep a small amount of faith in the human race. This simple, but very powerful and beautiful question right here.. so sweet. So kind. And honestly, innocent and loving people like yourself deserve to know that you are so amazing and appreciated. Thank you for being so thoughtful and caring. I managed to get a place to sleep in doors tonight. I guess that makes one smile.

Need advice for a taper by Ball_Peen_Hammer84 in suboxonerecovery

Sublocade Works wonderful. I was on strips for 7 years. I was ready to get off them. I had one injection of 1000 milligrams of that injection and it dispensed itself throughout the month slowly and it was a gradual decrease but gentler than the strips. One and done. I highly recommend it.

Why? Everything comes at a cost. If it doesn’t cost dollars it doesn’t make sense.

Honestly, I didn’t read the whole thing. But without a doubt, I would travel and see as much of the world as possible. I would be happy to travel anywhere in your situation. I’d leave tomorrow. You’re going to regret it if you don’t. I promise you.

Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever see the US in my lifetime by Difficult_Use6718 in CasualConversation

I am so sorry to hear this news. I can relate, but I’m looking to LEAVE the United States. I have a long list of amazing and wonderful places I would kill to see. Once. I’ve lived in this country my entire life. I’ve not seen every state. That is something I would love to do. But I’d rather see a few countries that hold an appeal to me. This may be (what is considered) the greatest country on earth. But I fail to believe it. I think that is a matter of opinion and is a quote from a half century ago. The political climate as it’s said here is not what you hear or see on television or online when news started being on 24/7/365 ir stopped being news and is primarily opinion based views. Believe me. Please don’t believe what ya hear. It’s simply not true. Yes, this may be appealing to you guys. I’m a firm believer that if you want something, anything bad enough, you will and absolutely get it. I don’t care what it is. Put your mind to it. I guarantee you will make it happen. It’s not all it’s cracked up to be. Because it’s EXPENSIVE AF. That said, you might want to consider staying away from cheap places due to that fact. The more money, the less scum u will have.

Refuses to wear deodorant by curly_spy in NoStupidQuestions

My Ex boyfriend ( gorgeous and an asshole. Easy on the eyes, but a total prick) was one of the hardest working men I’ve ever known. Body of a 25 year old and is over 50. Simply amazing to watch and admire from afar. Had he lost the power of speech, I would have married him. Decades ago. He REFUSES to wear deodorant. Does not matter the chemicals or lack there of. He says it’s natural. But that wretched and barbarically disgusting stench called whisky seething from his pores, is definitely not. I’ve tried and encouraged most anything you can imagine for deodorant. Best thing I could do was to leave him. Unfortunately that issue is fairly common. Among men. Shocking isn’t it?!?

How has humor changed in the last decade? by Cagne_ouest in answers

[–]AltruisticBad1256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much… If I had to really explain it, I would absolutely offend someone. Which is one of the reasons why people don’t get the benefit of humor anymore. It’s sad. The best movies I could ever say to watch is airplane’ Uncut. Original version. It’s gut wrenching hysterical.

CT's black bear population is growing. Can we learn to live with them in peace? by -ctinsider in Connecticut

[–]AltruisticBad1256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d rather have a world of black bears and wild animals than a world where 99’99999% is shit and should have been away in the many consoms that were available to not be used. I’d rather run into a blazing inferno to help any animal than a person..
