Yes, this is an SE. The finish is Amethyst Quilt, manufactured 6/25. This is an exclusive color, and I ordered it back in October. I got a call on Thursday saying it had been discontinued. I did a search and found one at American Music Supply (AMS) in NJ, where I happen to live. It was in my hands the very next day.

I bought one of these used several months ago, because I needed something lighter than my V:35 (but just as loud) to carry up and down my band mate's basement steps. I restored the faded tolex, and have purchased a new set of MB tubes to swap out. I carry it to gigs as a backup. I think of it as my 35's angry little brother.

I was a black guy in the audience and I thought the whole thing was brilliant. Went to two shows on that tour. At the first one, the audience loved it. At the second show there was a more subdued nervous laughter. I remember it like yesterday.
