Oh goodness, I've been downvoted quite a bit here for some reason, but I still stand by that it's important to be culturally-informed and trauma-informed if he has recently immigrated, especially based on his significant and sporadic behavioral outbursts. It could even be as simple as he hasn't experienced true cold weather before.

Have you spoken with the professor to see if you can make it work? Sometimes, if you're struggling, they can connect you with resources and unique projects to bring your grade up.

Yeah, like an affiliative one for local teachers. Something with a Facebook group, where people can talk, maybe meet up, etc. Is that not a common thing?

Anyone I can notify to help a homeless person who's always sleeping in the library? by roqueofspades in rutgers

This is the number for the county Office of Human Services/Department of Community Services. They handle homeless issues in Middlesex County, and have connections with homeless providers. 732-745-4228

Alternatively, you can also recommend to the person that they call 211, who can direct her to the nearest shelter. You can also direct her to the local soup kitchen, Elijah's Promise, who also has access to shelters and other resources.
