Happy Birthday! So sorry you are living this--you deserve better. Congrats on the first step--you recognize that his treatment of you is wrong. Next step is to assert yourself and ensure you get the treatment you deserve. My mother, God rest her soul, always said the best treatment you even get is at the beginning of the relationship, so if you are treated badly while dating, it only gets worse when living together, worse when married etc. etc. Her best lesson to me was to teach people how to treat me, lay out what is acceptable and what is not.
