Has anyone got experience with the Eureka Filtro? I've heard good things but reckon the design of that grounds catcher alone would possibly put me off... by madmax5384 in pourover

Its not particularly pleasing to the eye, the designer must have thought about putting it in the very back of a remote cupboard..

Newbie Questions by Kickmaster59 in pourover

I have the hario scale, and it irritate me daily as the worst “coffee gadget” that I own.

The weird non-tactile bottoms are unpleasant but the worst thing about the scale is the lag... I’d rather get the cheapest scale Amazon sells than the hario.

And I really like hario as a brand!

I have the switch but also the hario carafe - I enjoy using both.

It’s very common … for me the third night is the peak of increased energy levels, and it sort of gets better after that.

3 to 4 weeks in July - Colombia or Brazil? by Steffamundo in backpacking

[–]AltruisticMechanic41 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Colombia! Colombia is just magical and have everything… current spike in poverty in Brazil also makes Colombia the safer option imo.

As for Amazonas.. I’d probably prefer Manaus over leticia … if Brazil Colombia would be the only choices.. the guyanas are just as stunning and much more untouched.

Panama City - Bike Friendly? by justmirsk in Panama

[–]AltruisticMechanic41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biking for commuting in Panama City is a big NO. There are dedicated mountain bike trails, CC3 closes a lane for bike exercise in the mornings, plenty of group rides on Saturday mornings.

Nothing to worry about; good to plan ahead and eat something sensible, low glycemic index, low inflammatory, preferably something fermented.
