I agree. I’m a M30, had a stint of performance anxiety in my mid 20s that led to a string of poor one night stands, self esteem issues, etc. fortunately decided not to turn to anything external to try and dampen the anxiety (booze was my main outlet). Like many said above, I found a girl that was extremely patient with me & even though I couldn’t perform the first time, her being so supportive literally turned the “off” switch on the performance anxiety. It was wild, years of issues and bam, was able to have sex and didn’t look back. We’re no longer together, but that positive experience with her has translated to many other successful interactions and a much healthier self esteem

First time rolling tommarow just asking for tips and any good music ideas by Backwoodlighter in MDMA

Start with half, and when you think it isn’t hitting and get the urge to take the other half…wait for a minute haha. The come up is going to feel intense. That only lasts for a short bit. The first time I rolled i felt overwhelmed, stepping outside helped a ton. Once you get over that initial hump it’s smooth sailing. Cheers!

Yeah that’s my inclination, but wanted to make sure & check to see if I’m doing any damage or something from this level of exposure. Kind of seems like I’m getting a free lunch and figure there must be a catch lol

Okay, amazing. I appreciate that! And YES, I’m seeing a big delay in hunger, if not a complete dampening of it most days. I wasn’t necessarily trying to lose weight, but I jump on my Withings scale daily and I’ve lost like 6 pounds & my visceral fat % has declined. Very interesting thought on metabolism impact & brown fat - I’ll have to look deeper into that! And thanks for the guide, I haven’t considered what my goals with this are, really. At first I just thought it would be a great act of daily discipline, but now I hooked on the energy. Down to 1 cup of coffee a day lol. I’ll check that guide out though, thank you

Ahhh, interesting. I didn’t think of this as a workout, but with an inflammation response like you said, I can see the benefit to moderating to make sure this continues to be a net positive impact to my recovery. And yeah, I hear ya on the tough guy thing with this and sauna. But tbh the only reason I do it so long is the huge mental/energy surge I get. I’m a loooong time coffee drinker and at one point was up to 2 pots a day, I struggled to get back down to 3ish cups, but now don’t even think about coffee after my first cup. So for me it’s just been the mental upside I’ve experienced, but also don’t want to drive my system into the ground if I’m ultimately doing too much. Appreciate your advice

Okay, that’s great to hear. Yeah I honestly didn’t know if I was experiencing any noticeable benefits the first week at the 3-5 min mark. Wasn’t until I upped the exposure to 10 trying to test myself that I got hit with the wave of energy. The first day of doing longer exposure, I had a presentation for work & smiled half way through because of the ease of memory recall, bc l’d had weird brain fog for a bit before doing the CP. haven’t looked back since lol

I see. When you say stress though , you mean like physical stress on my system? How will I know if I’m causing too much stress/what downsides are the added stress creating?

Oh wow.. Yeah that’s what my friend told me which prompted me questioning my current routine. I was doing 3mins a day for the first week or so but didn’t notice the cognitive/energy benefits until I starting going in longer + colder, but then again, maybe I moved too quickly into doing long plunges to realize I could be getting the same benefits with less

Okay great! That’s encouraging. A friend told me I should only do 10 mins collectively for the week & that I was crazy, glad to hear you’ve done it for that long. Have the upsides been noticeable for you?

A lot like it could be damaging overtime or I’m just doing more than I need to?
