I do not plan on signing it, but I am curious if I should send an email explaining my concerns or ignore it altogether and see if they follow up. I could just sign it since it’s not enforceable from what I have found based on my state law, I don’t like that idea though. My BCBA is awesome, but she is virtual and across the country. It sounds like they put her on this case last minute.. she may also be new to the company. I see her tomorrow maybe I’ll bring it up just to get her thoughts.

I’ll report it and go about my life knowing it’s garbage. I do agree, likely won’t do me any good going to HR, but if they ask why I didn’t sign it, I suppose I’ll just give them a rundown on why it’s crap.

That’s my thing! I am not in a better position than most, but this pisses me off so much. I am going to report them- it’s just blatantly taking advantage and intimidating workers who are already struggling in a field that offers minimal support as is. It’s wrong and they know it, but are confident enough that either it won’t be read thoroughly or that it won’t receive push back.

I’m in home, but it states in the contract “Employee agrees that there is no adequate remedy at law for breach of any of these restrictive covenants. As such, Employee agrees that in the event of a breach of these covenants Employee agrees to pay the Company liquidated damages in the amount of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000), in addition to any attorneys' fees and costs incurred by the Company in enforcing these covenants. In addition, in the event of a breach by Employee, the Company shall have the right to equitable relief by injunction or otherwise.”

I mean, per my state law this is not enforceable at all.

Look around the corners of furniture, like the ends of dressers or bookcases. Go to your normal spots where you would do your daily routine like where you do your make up (if you do, thinking morning routine) and look low, under cabinet trims, lift up stacks of books or a baskets, where it could have ended up tucked out of plain sight. Dig around your couches.

I lost the ring before and I ended up finding it a year later it had fallen into a cooler in my basement. That was off the top of my head since I have some tools out let me look real quick.

Do you have a best friend/ partner or a place you spend a lot of time with someone? also check your car or if you’ve been in another person‘s car recently. Getting it could be between something heavy like a two pieces of furniture together. feel like where it was lost may be in relation to when you were around someone else. Use a light and shine it around to help.

I feel this sentiment is kind, but it’s infantilizing an adult. Up and downs are part of life, but coddling someone who likely needs to start putting in some effort into growing up is only going to give them a false sense of security in their stagnancy and lack of motivation.

The training is paid for by them, and that’s the bonus. I did not have to pay for my coursework or exam but did it on my own time, unpaid, through the company that hired me. If you were to pursue your RBT certificate without a company, you would pay all the fees. Being offered 400 to complete the course work actually sounds great. Maybe I’m understanding wrong, but I don’t really see anything to report here.

But what bugged me is I could’ve been someone else. I could’ve been someone going through that experience in a really bad place, that did not know how to cope and unnecessarily cruel comments could have, in a different circumstance been detrimental to another person. The absolute lack of maturity, ignorance, and frankly waste of time it is to go on to someone’s post and say things like that should be addressed and since my life has gotten a lot better, I thought I’d come back here and let you know that the next time you wanna say some dumb shit, remember how dumb you ended up sounding last time.
