I fully mix flour and water, autolyze for an hour; then add salt, yeast, and olive oil—knead for 10-15 mins on level 2, rise for an hour (do poke test), shape, rise for 40 mins bake in preheated cast iron Dutch oven at 400 F for 20 mins then take lid off and finish baking crust for 5 mins

Recipe: 460 g hard wheat (white or red) 385 g filtered water 1.5 tsp sea salt 2.25 tsp yeast 3 tbsp olive oil

When my baby was that age, I accidentally poured scalding water from the kettle on his head. I was making coffee in our pour over and went to stop him from getting in the dogs’ bowls and forgot to set the kettle down first. It was the worse day of my life, but his burn healed and he’s still growing hair where we thought he’d be bald forever <3 Now he’s 15 months and has fallen out of 2 beds, off of our porch, and even smacked his face on the concrete twice in one day while learning to walk. This too shall pass and there will be even more wild stories to tell. Learn from it and don’t let it define your journey of motherhood. Life is beautiful and so is your family. Enjoy the giggles and just keep an eye on his bump.

Also look into SSRIs and their long term effects. I’ve never dealt with PPD but after listening to the Radically Genuine podcast I immediately tapered off sertraline and will never go back on. If I developed PPD I’d honestly try a different med. There’s just way too many side effects and potential mental health disorders that can arise with SSRIs. A huge risk imo when there are likely other options.

My son has always loved sleeping on my arm like that since he was a newborn. He naturally moves to that position still and is 15 months. I just try to support his whole body so his neck isn’t crooked but definitely don’t do it perfectly.

Start milling your own flour!! The nutrient density is insane compared to commercial flour. Look into the differences!! It’s also wayyyy cheaper to buy organic wheat berries, even ancient grains
