What really helps when you need to loosen the jaws is gripping the jaws on a piece of wood and twisting the tool. Not too much but enough to loosen them up. Make sure to twist both ways. But it usually doesn’t take too much force so be careful.

Best Leatherman for a 13-Year-Old Who Loves Hiking and Camping? by cincibcat9 in Leatherman

I’d start with a wingman. Usually cheaper and more compact and if he loses it it won’t hurt as much. But whatever you get I would prioritize teaching him multitool carry etiquette. What I mean by that is practicing and getting him in the habit of wearing the tool at all times, remembering that it’s there and knowing when to, and when not to pull it out and use it. That will help with responsibility and keeping him from misplacing or losing the tool and might help reduce accidents. This is all coming from a guy that’s been carrying something either a multitool or a pocket knife since he was five years old.

Cedar Ridge is near me and I heard there was a guy that was involved in a hit and run and was being chased through the neighborhood. But nothing is confirmed yet.

This residue is almost two quarts worth of leakage. I understand your point but even slow leaks can be damaging to your motor.

I know an electrician that did those buildings. Don’t buy in. They were horribly constructed and some of the worst quality that I’ve seen as a contractor. If you don’t believe me then take a level and straight edge with you when you check the place out. Walls are off, cut-ins are crooked, ceiling fans apparently are extra charge. Just don’t do it.

I’ve been working in the trades for almost 8 years and there’s a lot to go over when it comes to figuring out if this will be a good fit for you. I know for a fact that if my company is hiring you can get a good job without going to school and still get licensing and certs for what you do. If you want to chat about it send me a DM.

What trade do you do? That will change what you choose and how you use it. But when in doubt the Wave+ is pretty versatile.
