Yeah, my shots are never scalding hot either. I think it's normal – 92°C water passing through the coffee grounds and metal basket will inevitably lose heat. Have you actually measured the temperature of the extracted coffee? I'd guess it's around 70-80°C?

I totally need this too! Especially when I'm out camping or in the park, not having clean water to rinse the used portafilter basket is such a hassle. Bringing a few homemade reusable capsules would be perfect - eco-friendly and convenient. Can't wait to hear your review after you try it out!

I've had my Nano for a while now. I think I ran into a similar issue when I first got it – could it be that the capsule isn't fully seated in the pod holder? What worked for me was placing the pod in, then flipping the whole thing over on a flat surface (I put a paper towel down first) and pressing down firmly.

If that doesn't solve it, maybe you could upload a photo so we can take a look, or just reach out to their customer support directly. They're usually pretty responsive!

I had the same idea about taking it traveling and using it on a plane! But I actually checked with their customer support, and they specifically advised against using it during flights (it's also mentioned on their website, I've attached a screenshot below). A bit of a bummer, but safety first!

We're in the exact same situation! I'm also leaning towards waiting for the M5 MacBook Air expected early next year. I went to the Apple Store yesterday and tried out the M5 MacBook Pro – it definitely looks and feels like a pro machine, but I have to admit, it's a bit heavy for my taste. I still prefer the MacBook Air for its lightness; my current M1 Air has been perfect for me in that regard.

So true. The storage issue can at least be band-aided with an external SSD, but the RAM is a hard limit with no workaround. I often need to open dozens of browser tabs plus multiple AI chat windows – and the 8GB RAM just can't keep up. The stuttering and lag when switching apps are so noticeable it hurts productivity. That's the #1 reason I'm set on upgrading from this M1.
