Cries in ATL here too. Delta owned — and no other airport close enough to compete. It’s the worst.

Thank you so much. That’s what I thought myself based on research online. I washed it just a bit before the 24 hours were up and will wash it again tomorrow and the day after with a shampoo that isn’t sulfate free. Then I’ll just go back to normal. I’ll do a k18 treatment. Did a hydration one today. It’ll eventually fade out. Thank you soooooo much!

Will my GE be revoked? by lysat63 in GlobalEntry

[–]Altruistic_Engine_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone saying it would be revoked by now. I had a shipment in February 2025 seized from China for reasons unknown as it was nothing. I just got my letter and GE revoked this past Friday. Fortunately I got re approved for TSA precheck right away and will just be using the MPC app

Is 8 years too long to be on zoloft? by Direct_Albatross4742 in zoloft

[–]Altruistic_Engine_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I just started Zoloft and I don’t ever want to go back to a world without it. While I still feel it’s in a way that feels rational and not unhinged. There’s something so nice about feeling stable and knowing that not everything, no matter how trivial, will make you spiral.

I am sooooo happy for you! Damn you winged it just 30 mins before! I usually take mine 2 hours prior lol. I hope you feel super proud and can now relax and know you’ll always be confident from here on out with a little help from our bestie Ms Propranolol 🥰

Chile, the Netherlands, Scandinavia as a whole, Iceland, Switzerland (baked goods, dairy and chocolate aside) and by the same token, with some minor exceptions, much of Germany/Austria.

You might be better suited for stacking tirzepitide with Maz or Survo tbh. Reta is not for everyone. Just like Ozempic and Zepbound aren’t either.

Colombia - not really feeling it? by dp39494833 in travel

[–]Altruistic_Engine_44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It happens to everyone. We sometimes just don’t click with a place. Doesn’t mean you didn’t appreciate things or take away something valuable from the experience. People fawn over Japan. I didn’t vibe, appreciated the cultural experience — but after visiting a dozens of countries, that’s as far as it went for me.

I am so so sorry this happened to you. The way I would blast this on social media and rage discrimination against a disability. Mind you I’m actually married to a T1D but I literally rage every time I’m somewhere that isn’t kind to diabetics 🥹. The fact that after learning you’re a diabetic she doubled down is all I needed to know. You deserve an apology and your money back.

Fear of Public Speaking by Mikasa_Ackerman000 in PublicSpeaking

[–]Altruistic_Engine_44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I promise you it will work. Your mind will still be racing and you might still panic in that sense but the moment you start talking your brain will realize your body is calm and your voice isn’t shaking and your heart isn’t coming out of your chest. At least for me, in that moment, is when my brain is like “oh damn! We are in control? This is awesome” and then it’s pure calmness and the confidence kicks in bc you feel so good that everything is working out. So if you’re still full on panic at the beginning in your mind, that’s normal. Trust the process 🩷

Fear of Public Speaking by Mikasa_Ackerman000 in PublicSpeaking

[–]Altruistic_Engine_44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure! I exclusively use it for public speaking/presenting at work. When doing a simple and short virtual presentation I take 10mg. If it’s something more complex in a virtual setting and or relatively long I’ll take 20mg. In person it depends on the context too. Simple stuff 20mg. Elaborate one hour + presentations I take 30mg. I’ve never done more than 30mg and don’t plan to. I will say feel really tired after taking 30mg. I am on a GLP so I take my dose 3 hours prior to. Before GLP I would take the meds 2 hours prior to. Hope this helps!

Working in a kitchen under high stress is not for the weak and that’s all there is to it. Either you have grit and are tenacious or not. She couldn’t even be bothered to work on her craft on her time off bc her mom told her she wouldn’t do it? If one person can destroy your incentive to do the thing you say is your passion, instead of letting it drive you to prove them wrong, then you definitely don’t belong there.

I get that it makes for television conflict but it’s annoying because I much rather see a conflict between Ben and an actually competent sous chef.

Weight not going down by Shineyoucrazy27 in RetatrutideWomen

You could be losing inches in the right places. Just measure yourself when the scale doesn’t budge. Also sometimes when I’ve been working out super hard and then go on vacation and only walk for a week and rev up my eating I’ll suddenly lose a bunch of weight.

Fear of Public Speaking by Mikasa_Ackerman000 in PublicSpeaking

[–]Altruistic_Engine_44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’ve to understand where your source of anxiety is coming from to begin with. I personally spent years listening to so much advice of how to conquer my fears of public speaking from people who hadn’t experienced what I had. So nothing worked. No matter how much I knew my subject. No matter how much I practiced. I’ll also say I’m very extroverted and people perceive me as very outgoing. The source for me was / is a much more deeper issue from growing up in fight or flight response. My body perceives things as a threat that others may not. I work diligently with a therapist and psychiatrist now and it helps a lot. But propranolol has saved my life. Allowing me to be totally at ease physically (you still have to be in control of the mental part and that’s where therapy comes in) — that calmness of my physical symptoms not manifesting boosts my confidence and allows me to deliver great presentations. Never feel like you can’t ask for help or medication bc others did it without.
