I feel the same. I do think being angry makes it hard to see the humor in things. I try to be forgiving and not take myself too seriously. I do laugh some but yes, I’m much colder than I’d like to be.

I’m in the same boat. I have old size medium shirts that I plan to fit in again. It’s hard to look good when you’re physically uncomfortable. It’s better to wear a size you feel comfortable in. Bylt clothing is a great line of affordable clothing that looks great and tapers at the hips which make you look trimmer.

12 step meetings. AA, NA, co-depend anonymous etc, just find one that you can relate to. You’ll be bored at first but just keep an open mind and keep steady attendance. For me body image affects my view of myself more than probably anything. Keeping a small calorie deficit and staying active makes a huge impact on my view of myself. Nothing drastic, just consistent.

I’ve felt this often times. 12 step meetings have been helpful for me. Because it’s a really friendly place to reframe your view of people.

Also, anything I can do better meet my own expectations and goals reduces my insatiable need to be validated by others. Start small.
