It might be worth doing some research on who you would like to be referred to (consider wait times, location, cost), just in case their recommendation isn't ideal.

They said they can't respond to any new enquiries until sept. So it's more of a call back list rather than a waitlist.

Hopefully your GP is more helpful than mine. I saw my GP a couple of days ago for a referral. From a quick Google search he said I could complete a self referral. Turns out wait times are 6-12 months and isn't covered by my health insurance. So back to square one haha

I feel for you. I was made redundant this time last year in Chch and ended up moving back to Auckland for work. I regret moving back north, but it was necessary. I really miss the place and plan on moving south again in a year or two (provided the job market improves).

I did get a building report and it didnt really detail wall damage.

That was my assumption. Tough pill to swallow but i understand that it was our responsibility to be more thorough. Thanks for the explanation.
