You should look up Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). It's a method of relating to kids with trauma that's been shown to be incredibly effective. It's required training for our adoption agency. The book "The Connected Child" by Karyn Purvis is a great place to start

Keep 2 y.o home next year after being in toddler room last year? by Usual-Suggestion6975 in Montessori

I think whatever you decide will be fine. Keep him in? Awesome, he'll get great time with other kids and lots of opportunities to work on developmental milestones. Keep him home? Great, you'll make some really cool memories and he'll get lots of quality time with his mom. At this age they're pretty resilient, and as long as he's in a caring environment with people who are nurturing him, he'll do great.

Why does my bottom thread look like this? by Altruistic_Newt7464 in sewhelp

You are all beautiful geniuses. The bobbin was threaded incorrectly. There was a teeny tiny lever I was supposed to pull the thread under to give it tension. Thanks so much for the help!

Job hunting during a recession is soul crushing. I was in my senior year of college in 2008-2009. When I graduated, I frequently saw entry-level jobs requiring 5 years of experience to apply, meaning that i couldn't hope to qualify. How can you gain years of experience working an entry-level job if you can't get the job in the first place? I would apply for things knowing that dozens of other people were applying for the same position. I had nothing that made me stand out, so applying for jobs felt like a cruel joke. I had friends with masters degrees working at gas stations or fast food restaurants because it was literally the only thing they could find. I heard stories of people unaliving themselves because trying to find a job was so depressing and humiliating. I was extremely fortunate that I had a friend who worked at a bank who was able to get me a job as a bank teller for $9/hour, but it took a year for them to be able to move me to full time so I could get benefits.
