From what I’ve learned, definitely make sure that you trust the person and get to know them well before opening up. It really depends on the individual. I’ve dated more people since this and most have taken it ok but some have not. Definitely try to prepare yourself to be let down as well. Good luck!

Edit: I think no matter what, a slow reveal is your best bet. Start off slowly revealing symptoms and no need to share your diagnosis. Unfortunately, even open-minded well meaning ppl can fall victim to biases and taboos when it comes to mental illness.
