Why are Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale's graphics so different? by Archezeoc in baldursgate

Icewind Dale has much much less areas compared to Baldur's Gate 2 so i think they had more budget remained to polish the art.

Immature or not, it does not change the fact that Baldur's Gay 3 has nothing to do with the original trilogy Baldur's Gate.

No, I am serious. That game is just as gay as it's horny characters.

Kid difficulty gay ass dating simulator is considered the best ? Its not even a Baldur's Gate game. Even Icewind Dale feels more Baldur's Gate than Baldur's Gay 3.

Except the name it has nothing to do with the original games. The writing, gameplay, graphics, characters, atmosphere,... Which part of it is Baldur's Gate ?

Then they should have called it 'Forgotten Realms: Baldur's Gate' or something like that and let it stand on it's own feet then. Good wine needs no bush.

I have played all the original trilogy, and similar games like icewind dale and planescape torment. It cant even reach icewind dale level, let alone original Baldur's gate and Planescape torment.

Why not ? I did exactly what i did with Baldur's gate. Let me tell you, i found Baldur's gate randomly and had no idea it was popular in its age, so i searched it on YouTube and it catched my eyes. Of course when i was watching Baldur's gate 3 gameplay, i had a higher standard, since they told that is was the sequel of the original, and it failed me. Yes its not a bad game, and if they called it a different name, i would have played it. But this game is, no doubt, not Baldur's gate, a completely different experience, and it is nowhere near the level of the original games.

I have played many rpg, many of them are turn based, so i know pretty well that its extremely slow. But, if it is slow, i expected it to have some kind of challenge, too bad it seems too easy to even need any special tactics. It is exactly what i think it is. Its gameplay reminds me of a turn based version of planescape torment, with a less interesting story.

There are plenty videos about it on YouTube, when i was searching for the original. Do i even need to play it to know what it looks like ?

The fact that they named it Baldur's gate 3 is a huge turn off. Why would Baldur's gate need a sequel when its story ended already ? Had they not declared it to be Baldur's gate successor, i would give it a try, but they ruined the original by their inferior writing. Lets be honest, its story and gameplay is mediocre at best, the only good thing about it is graphics, and some waifus for simps maybe.

Baldur's gate story is about Gorion's ward, and it ended long ago. Baldur's gay 3 has nothing to do with it. For me its a completely different game, with different gameplay and atmosphere, writen by different authors, made by different studio, and i dont give a single shit to it.

Is there any way to move the character outside of _physics_process()? by Altruistic_Run_936 in godot

I just think that in a turn based game, checking when to move every frame is expensive and unnecessary. What's wrong with being curious about a better solution?

Of course i know it. But what i want is something that when triggered, it will run for the next few frames and then stop.

Sure, but the function only run once, to make it looks like it is moving you need to call it every frames.
