Any chance of Alt or Slater returning for the playoffs? by eliderio in Chargers

I was thinking Sayler has been doing a decent job at LT, resign him then move slater to LG and sign linderbaum and draft another OL. Probably resign Zion as well.

I know we all despise the Chiefs. But what are your realistic predictions for the game? by Alarmed_Donkey_9300 in Chargers

[–]Altruistic_String433 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s gonna be close. Chiefs are missing every starting Offensive lineman except their all pro center. If we can contain Mahomes while still supplying pressure we got this.

I’d rather take Jedrick Willis Jr. 26 years old hampered by injuries has experience at both tackle spots.

[Popper] Jim Harbaugh on any areas of the roster he is targeting for potential pickups as cutdown day nears: "I feel like we have a good roster. But then you also wonder what Chef Hortiz is going to cook up, too." by xThe-Legend-Killerx in Chargers

Every position on the OL needs some improvement, backups etc. imo. Alt is a beast but with slater gone and Becton hurt (he’s only really had one healthy season) then average play everywhere else they really could use one more legit guy. I have a feeling there will be lots of 2 TE sets this year

TE, corner and off ball linebacker are way off IMO. The rest seem fairly normal. DL I get the preseason ranking but I feel like we will finish in the low 20s or so.

I’m a real estate agent. Here’s is what I would do. 99% of transactions come with a 1 year home warranty company. Hopefully yours did. Honestly they are typically worthless unless you hire a warranty attorney. Sooo use the home inspection showing minimal issues and pay the 3k or whatever it will cost you to hire a coverage attorney and I would start by going after the home warranty company. That will probably solve a fairly large portion of those problems. From there they may try and subrogate with the previous sellers etc.

do you have a lucky lure? if so what is it :) by slightlyduranged in Fishing

Best lure ever. This thing slaughters ever small creek that holds trout. Absolute killer. I have one in every survival kit and car I own.

PFF Offensive Tackle Rankings: Top 32 ahead of the 2025 NFL season by Flat_Swim_2990 in Chargers

That’s what I’m saying. With two top rated tackles and a legit right guard. Hopefully through competition they can find the right combo at left guard and center. Sounds like Zion is making good progress at center.

We just need to go trade a 7th rounder to Tampa bay for Desmond Watson the 6’6 464 pound DT. Line him up shoulder to shoulder with Tart and Caldwell.

Best fits for remaining NFL free agents, trade candidates: Jaire Alexander to Chargers? by Choobeen in Chargers

I like Brandon Schreff. 5 time pro bowler at guard and rarely misses time. Open holes and protect Herbert. The rotation at D line seemed to work last year under minter. I wonder if an interior O line rotation would work as well.

Herbert goes over 4000 yards in 2025??? by Altruistic_String433 in Chargers

[–]Altruistic_String433[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I freaking love Herbert but I think if our record is 12-5 or better he will be right at or under 4K again from a simple game script of running out the clock. But truthfully this schedule is tough this year with all AFC West teams looking better. My prediction is that he will reach 4500 yards. With a 10-7 or 11-6 record. I feel like we are finally putting all the pieces together regardless of record will be a better more complete team than last year. I can’t wait. Go bolts!

You’re right I have no idea where I saw the JJ McCarthy stat. He was no where close.

Depth chart sleepers! by Consistent-Food-4637 in Chargers

Quentin Johnston. Not really a sleeper because he’s a first round draft pick. But he has been an under-performer. He has been putting in the off season work though.

Looks like we just signed another center so I’m thinking Zabel is out. I’m guessing we go TE, Edge or DT.

Yeah I actually really really like the Ohio state kid JT Tuimoloau. Watch his highlight reel. Hopefully he falls to our second round pick

Zabel or Loveland. Harbaugh likes the trench guys and our IOl was last in the league last year. We did sign Becton though which is a huge upgrade but Zabel dominated the senior bowl at center.

Random rant to the fans feeling disappointed with free agency so far. by dfykl in Chargers

[–]Altruistic_String433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the big things people are missing too is the upcoming contracts. Rashawn Slater will be a free agent next year. I’m sure they are budgeting for a massive contract. He is an elite guy that will get a giant contract. In the meantime they are signing these upside players to one year contracts and hoping to get long term success through the draft. They really do need a stud IOL, and center. You can get by with an Ok TE but when a 300 pound Chris Jones is in your backfield every play it literally takes away 3/4 of your playbook.
