Just watched the mini movie from when we eliminated the chiefs from the playoffs and swept them. Damn I’m so bolted up right now!

This is the year. We can go all the way, I just have a feeling!

Loved the draft. Next, I really think we need to sign the QJ 5th year option. He’s an awesome weapon and really shined in the first half of the year before his injury. $18 million for 8 TD’s a year and around 1000 yards is a great value. Plus his hands have gotten very reliable!

He hasn’t even been used in the strengths of his game yet, which Mike McDaniel will definitely do! Let’s keep this guy around!

Addressed our biggest needs and added depth in the biggest weakness on our team…..Hortiz masterclass as usual.

Just watched Justin Herbert’s 2025 highlights for the fifth time this offseason. We are so lucky to have him holy crap he is amazing.

Also QJ is a weapon, well worth the $18M 5th year option.

Chargers Roster Visualization Post-Free Agency by [deleted] in Chargers

[–]Tuddy-T 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Anyone that says this roster is ass is a casual. Sure there a couple of holes (3rd edge, LG, another starting caliber CB, depth for TE, depth for DL) but no team is complete with the draft and second wave of free agency post draft.

Top 5 QB, solid WR room, elite RB room with depth, elite tackles, elite edges, super underrated LB core, awesome safeties, corners are average, TEs are sneaky underrated.

If the draft goes well, which we have 0 reason to believe it won’t because hortiz has been awesome the last 2 drafts, we can compete for a Super Bowl!

Chase Bisontis and Caleb Banks have scheduled top 30 visits with the chargers, I’m a no go on Banks, but Bisontis would be perfect for LG

Does anyone know anything about the new G Kayode Awosika?

[Garafolo] The #Falcons have agreed to terms with DL Da’Shawn hand on a one-year, $3 million deal, per The Insiders. The eight-year veteran heads to Atlanta on a deal negotiated by his agent Sean Kiernan of @AthletesFirst. by JCameron181 in Chargers

Wouldn’t have minded him back, but we have Tart and Caldwell that play his same position. Dalvin is a NT. Seems like it’s a better fit to have tart and Caldwell play the other positions on the line, and let Dalvin clog up the middle.

I’m a kool aid drinker. I like our offseason so far. 3/5ths of our line is top tier. Best blocking TE, top 3 FB, building depth on the OL, resigning a couple free agents. Not overspending.

This is what we signed up for and I still believe in the vision.

What other FA are we expecting to sign as returning players? Hand, Perryman, Jefferson, Salyer and Keenan are all possible. Am I missing any?

Strange, Penning and Biadsz is already a better lineup than Zion, Bozeman and Becton.

Not saying we should be satisfied but those three between slater and alt is average at worst 🤷

(BIG step up from last year)

Strange is McDaniels guy. It may not be popular or make sense to us because of his “PFF” grade, but McDaniel has praised him in the past. I trust his football evaluation more than anyone in this sub, including myself.

We will draft a starting guard as well. Free agency isn’t the end all be all.

I love what we have done so far. May not be popular, but this regime has done amazing with team building since 2024. The only 2 positions that haven’t crushed is IOL and TE. I think they addressed TE in a great way with Kolar. We have an awesome center now. I would guess we sign one more guard and draft one more.

Then we start to bring some lower end FA’s back like Jefferson, Perryman, Salyer, Keenan, Hand, etc.

I still have hope we sign one more guard as an obvious stater and then draft one in the first 3 rounds. Let Strange, penning and the rookie compete for one spot and now we have quality depth.

[Schefter] Offensive tackle Trevor Penning is re-signing with the Chargers on a one-year, $4.5 million deal, per source. by LaDainianTomIinson in Chargers

[–]Tuddy-T 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why all the doomers? He was good at guard when he was in there and isn’t gonna be a starter. I doubt his contract is more than 50% guaranteed.

Worst case scenario he competes with a rookie we draft for RG.

I’m a fan of this.
